This book is one of the greatest collections of popular music, the songs of the Beatles. Thirty years and more have elapsed since the remarkable songs included in this book were written and recorded, but their magic is undimmed.
This book covers ALL the songs The Beatles ever wrote and recorded themselves, with the exception of instrumentals and Lennon-McCartney songs recorded only by other artists. Every song is even dated so you can find out the year the song was first recorded.
The Beatles Complete Chord Songbook presents The Beatles' songs in a format designed for a guitarist singing the songs unaccompanied, or with others. For this reason the chord shapes have been simplified where possible. The Beatles made frequent use of barre chords up and down the neck, as on songs like "She's A Woman" or "I feel fine". These can get tiring, especially on an acoustic guitar, so in some places easier shapes have been used, to the same effect.
Some of the songs in the book require a capo. Numbers like "Norwegian Wood" used a capo on the original recordings, while in other instances, such as "Your mother should know" and "Strawberry Fields Forever", a capo has been used to make playing in difficult keys easier. For those of you that don't know what a capo is, a capo is a clip that you place over the strings at different intervals.
All the songs in this book have been transcribed in the same keys as used on the original recordings. However, The Beatles did occasionally detune their guitars when recording (for example "Lovely Rita Meter Maid" used guitars with strings tuned down a semitone). Also if you are playing along with the record you may need to tune slightly sharp or flat on some songs. This slight deviation from concert pitch occurs for a number of reasons, including the fact that The Beatles experimented with "vari-speeding" their tapes. (Meaning they changed the speed in places) Sometimes this resulted in a song whose key is pitched between two notes.
Players who wish to learn the concept finger-picking for songs such as "Blackbird", "Julia", and "Here Comes The Sun" should seek out fully tabbed versions. The versions in this book are designed for strumming.
Overall this is a great book if you are good with a guitar, it contains a total of 194 songs written and recorded by The Beatles. With it you will be able to play and sing any Beatles songs that you want.
Buy it? If you are a Beatles fan then yes, If you like playing the guitar yes, If you don’t like The Beatles, what no-one doesn't like The Beatles so am not going to say. You have to buy this book it is great. It only costs £19.95 and it’s worth every penny.

Quick review of Beatles Complete Chord Songbook
This is a very good book, but contrary to its title, it is not complete. It only has songs composed by the Beatles, not the entire Beatles catalogue. Therefore the title is a little misleading. I would still buy it though, and I did, if only for the additional information it contains. The chords are accurate, the chord patterns and illustrations are very good too. The only other disadvantages besides it not being really complete, are the size and binding format. If one would be using this onstage, it would be difficult to read and impossible to keep open without clipping it to the note stand. A spiral binding would be the best for any songbook. ...
