Advantages: stylish, very safe, can use with pushchair, baby can be rear-facing for longer Disadvantages: a tight fit in small cars (but it can be done!)
We have just stopped using our Creatis, after about a years use. It was quite an expensive choice, but definitely well worth the money. It has lasted well and the only fault is that the blue cover behind one of the seat belt guides seems to have slipped down and exposed the polystyrene, but as it was normally protected by the rain cover in wet weather I don't think it was a problem. It fitted my baby well from birth up to a year (it would have done ... ...forward facing car seat so we can keep an eye on her), she was always well supported but also with freedom of movement for her arms and legs.
It looks stylish with its curved plastic casing, and keeps baby really safe with the side impact protection. It fitted my baby well from birth up to a year (it would have done her longer but I thought it was time for a forward facing car seat so we can keep an eye on her), she was always well supported but also with freedom of movement for her arms and legs.
It looks stylish with its curved plastic casing, and keeps baby really safe with the side impact protection. Its padded seat looks really comfortable for baby, and it has a small wedge cushion which attaches with velcro to make a flatter lying position for the first few months. Although it is not totally flat I think it still makes a difference and keeps baby at a better height for the straps when tiny. The height of the straps is easily adjusted by reaching behind the headrest and pulling it up.
I originally thought it could double as a rocker in the house and save on space, but as it doesn't lie as flat as I first thought I decided against it. It's handy for short periods though if visiting friends, but not when baby is too well wrapped up. It's supposed to have a good ventilation system to help keep baby cool but my baby always came out of it sweating if left in it indoors, as it's so well insulated.
** IN THE CAR ** ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ As the creatis is bigger than most other 1st stage car seats it means baby can travel in the safer rear-facing position for longer. The weight guideline is 0-13kg and our daughter's still within that at 14 months. One downside to owning a big car seat though is trying to fit it in a small car. Really you should get them fitted properly before you buy, but as we bought it online we couldn't do that. It did fit in our Corsa, but only just! The front passenger seat had to be moved forward a bit to make room for it, and we had to tilt the car seat slightly while positioning the seat belt as it only just reached. It is quite easy to fit in the car when you're used to it though. You have to do the seat belt up first and slacken the lap belt before putting the car seat in. Then you guide the belt through the guides either side underneath the car seat and pull it tight, before pulling the shoulder belt over and placing in the guides at the back and then at the side. As our car has 3 doors I was able to get in behind the passenger seat to fit it in the car, I did find it slightly more awkward in other cars though having to reach across from outside, but I suppose you would get used to it.
There is a couple of other downsides to it being big, one being that you can't see baby that easily when in the car. We had to keep asking our older kids if she was ok. Also the trolleys designed for car seats at our local supermarket are made for slightly smaller car seats, but it still seemed safe enough to use with the Creatis. The modulo clip on the car seat rested on the bar of the trolley on one side, but the straps went across and kept it secure and it didn't move about at all. Only problem was trying to see past it! Obviously every supermarket has different trolleys so you will have to see what works for you.
It's lighter than it looks so although it is quite bulky it is easy enough to carry and the handle locks for safety. I found I did need to use both hands when my daughter got a bit older, but the handle is also well designed for 2-person carrying, so you can share the load.
** AS A TRAVEL SYSTEM ** ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ We also have the Loola pushchair (please see my other review), which we used with the Creatis more than the seat unit in the first year. When pushed back the handle follows the same shape as the back of the car seat, and it has a hood which attaches with poppers, so it just looks like a sporty pram, I had plenty of comments on it. It is excellent as a travel system as the car seat clicks easily into place on the modulo clips either side of the chassis, and it can be removed again in seconds. As the car seat fits directly onto the chassis, it takes up less room in the car than other travel systems. It is also great for public transport, although it doesn't fit down the isles on some buses, but it's easy to detach the car seat and fold it up quickly if needed. I found it easier to fold it up before the bus came along, It was easy enough to carry the car seat in one hand and the chassis in the other (it has a special carry handle which makes it easier). I put the chassis in the buggy store and the car seat on the seat next to me, leaving more room for other pushchairs.
** ACCESSORIES ** ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ COVERS - These can be removed for washing, although I haven't actually tried it myself yet so I don't know how easy it is, but it is explained in the manual, and they also come up well with upholstery cleaner.
RAIN COVER (purchased separately) - This is worth getting if you plan on using your car seat with the Loola. It fits very well with a small loop of elastic to attach to a hook just behind the hood, and it is elasticated for a snug fit around the base. There are also straps on either side which attach with poppers (although one of the poppers ripped off on ours), and fit just as well when done up around the handles or with the handle pushed back. It's sometimes easier to leave these straps undone but they then tend to flap about, and I have nearly lost the rain cover in high winds a couple of times so best to do them up if it's windy. The rain cover also features a small access flap which is handy for seeing to your baby without them getting soaked. It can be held back with velcro so if your not sure what the weathers doing, you can leave it on and still let the air in.
COSYTOES (purchased separately) - It is very warm and cosy and fits the car seat well. It can velcro together at the top which makes it more like a hood to keep babys head warmer. It is in 2 parts attaching with a zip around 3 sides, which means access to baby is easy and the top can be zipped off completely in warmer weather to leave a comfy liner.
MOSQUITO NET (purchased separately) - I don't actually have this myself, but I know there is one available to fit the Creatis. It could be useful if you have a cat, or spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer.
Advantages: Very safe and newborn lies quite flat too Disadvantages: Quite long so can be a squeeze in some cars
When we set out to buy a pushchair (read the Loola review for that instalment) the carseat part seemed already sorted (or so we thought).
We had Isofix in the car and only Britax made an Isofix newborn car seat. All the scare stories about many car seats being unsafely fitted by parents had us worried enough to want one which offered complete simplicity and peace of mind.
Anyhow, our eventual choice of pushchair (Loola) had a matching car seat ... ...had a cushion insert to lie newborns almost flat, both of which really appealed.( In reality the baby has a straight back but has to bend at the neck where the harness straps go over the shoulder, fine for travel but not ideal as a place to sleep for young babies.)
We had a go at strapping a Creatis in our Micra just to see if it was difficult. We had already tried the Prima Viaggio, Cosy Tot and Cosy Tot Isofix and the Creatis was clearly the easiest ...

Advantages: FULL ACCIDENT PROTECTION Disadvantages: NONE REALLY - JUST THE SUN CANOPY NEEDS REMOVING WHEN BABY GETS OLDER
...my 3 children and the Bebe Confort Creatis stands out from the rest (safety wise) by a mile in every way. Firstly I have read the reviews that other parents have put on this site and I do not agree with some of them. The creatis car seat offers the best position for baby when travelling by car in the event of an accident - in every direction and its side impact is outstanding and I feel is the best. Yes it is like an egg shell/bucket seat but this ... ...kept amused etc. The bebe confort creatis will last a baby through until they are ready for a forward facing car seat which I will stand by recommending at the age of 9 months (depending on weight of child) as any longer they are overflowing the car seat and in my opnion I do not deem it the safest option to travel. The car seat will last you through until then. It is also very easy to carry. As I have previously mentioned I have had a few different ...

Advantages: safe and comfortable Disadvantages: very difficult to take out and put in car
The car seat itslef is very good, very confortable to sit in, im taking that from the absence of crying from my little one!. It is very easy to put onto the loola pushchair as well and its really good that it comes with the canopy included. However it is the most difficult car seat i have ever fitted into the car, the lap part of the belt goes underneath the car seat rather than across it and to be honest i dont know how you are supposed to do it ... ...whole point of these portable baby carriers. I would imagine if the baby is very young and by that i mean maybe under three months then they might sleep through all the moving and heaving you have to do to fit it but any older than that and you would probably wake them up. However the other features of the seat are very good, i found it very sturdy indeed and as my little one was quite long in her body it was good to see that at 11 months she still ...

Advantages: TRENDY LOOK Disadvantages: uncomfortable, small, would not last up to 13 kg
Creatis by Bebe Confort is a very trendy looking car seat. We have iy in grey 02. Sound boring. But as a colour is perfect. Stylish, aluminum-like, site. it has black accent of fabric and red piping. Suitable for boys and girl (if ou planning more in the future this colour is great!)
You bought is a part of the travel system. We have Elite pushchair in the same grey 02. I bought it reasonable cheap form the main distributer (Dorel). Also the grandparents ... ...as I could find including umbrella, changing back, 2 raincovers... The car seat came at the price of £45 (retail about £98), raincover was £10 (retail £15)
GOOD POINTS:
1) very stylish, almost futuristic looking seat.
2) trendy design, very well made
3) washable removable cover
4) raincover is excellent, fit very snugly and has a window on velcro lock. plastic is tough and very clear. don't mind to say again VERY WELL MADE.
5)it has so call ...

Advantages: safe and sturdy Disadvantages: quite large
i bought this car seat to go with the Loola it is a very solid car seat and i love the way it is designed to have the baby lay as flat as possible.
there is a wedge in the bottom to help position baby in a flatter position this can be removed as baby gets older it is very cosy and we bought the cosytoes for it as i will use it quite often through the winter
only thing i didnt like was the trip home from hospital with new baby i hadnt tried it out ... ...so would suggest anybody try it in car first.
one very good thing is if it is in car the belt secures under the seat rather than over the baby which makes taking baby in and out of car seat as easy as anything.
it is also very esy to attach to pushchair chassis.
you can buy it at mothercare but i did an online search so i could get more colour choice and got a good deal at kiddisave.
we have a ford galaxy so a large car however have used it in ...

Advantages: Good looking; easy to put up and down Disadvantages: Heavy and wide; shopping basket; carrying down steps
(See also my review on the BebeConfort "Creatis" car seat that is often supplied as part of this travel system).
We are now several months into using the pushchair, as the Creatis car seat has been consigned to the attic. The Loola can be a bit pricey, but you can get some good deals on the internet if you shop around.
The pushchair clips easily into the chassis, allowing front or rear-facing. The whole thing easily folds down by pressing the handles in and pulling up on a handle down near the back of the buggy. Dead easy! Despite the pushchair being quite wide it folds up extremely well, but you would struggle to get it in the boot of most small cars, but this is down to the length, and I imagine you would have the same problem with most pushchairs.
As mentioned above, the pushchair is quite a bit wider than most buggies so ...
Advantages: Safety, ease of use, design, range of colours Disadvantages: Expensive with the Easyfix base
Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix with the EasyFix ISOFIX base.
We looked for an ISOFIX infant car seat for our second boy after having a BebeConfortCreatis car-seat for the eldest. The Creatis was chosen as one of the safest available, and at the time no infant seat was available with ISOFIX, base or otherwise.
The Cabriofix is a well proportioned and sturdy, and rates well in the safety reviews from respected sources such as Which?. It has a removable insert with an extra padded headrest for very young babies, and the youngest was not lost in the seat when we brought him home from hospital in it. In addition, the seat has a built-in sun shade stored in a compartment at the back of the seat that clips onto the carry handle. The carry handle itself has 3 locking positions; carry, store (behind the head enabling the seat to be used as ...
The most recent addition to the Bébé Confort family of car seats, Créatis.fix is another step forward in terms of simplicity and safety. Can be fitted to the Créatis.base in one simple move, making it genuinely practical: installation is even easier and even safer!
