The creatis car seat offers excellent all round protection for your child. I have had a few different car seats with my 3 children and the Bebe Confort Creatis stands out from the rest (safety wise) by a mile in every way. Firstly I have read the reviews that other parents have put on this site and I do not agree with some of them. The creatiscar seat offers the best position for baby when travellingby car in the event of an accident - in every direction and its side impact is outstanding and I feel is the best. Yes it is like an egg shell/bucket seat but this has been recommended by professionals as the safest position for baby to be in - in the event of an accident by car. The car seat is not supposed to be a luxury armchair or a fashion statement - it is there purely to provide full protection for your baby in the event of an accident. Parents are recommended that they DO NOT allow their baby to be in a car seat for more than 2 hours a day due to the fact that it can damage baby's spine (a baby's spine and respiratory airway is still very fragile up to the age of 6 months) which is why some pushchairs are not recommended for children under 6 months as they do not lay flat - however we are talking about a car seat here and the majority of carrycots that can be used in the car have been discontinued - this is mainly due to them rating appallingly in accident crash tests. THE BEST POSITION FOR BABY to be IN AN ACCIDENT IS IN A feotal type position so their little bodies can absorb the results of an impact/crash. There have been some lie flat car seats on the market in recent times but please do not be fooled - these will not offer your baby the adequate protection they need in the event of an accident and I feel their side impact protection is appalling - also please look carefully at the car seat when buying it as do not forgot that when a baby gets to about 4 months they will start to hold their heads up for longer periods of time so please bear in mind this when buying your car seat as I had one car seat for my daughter and when she started holding her head up (away from the back of the car seat) she had absolutely no side impact protection at all in the event of an accident - the Creatis has such deep sides that they are sort of cocooned in it - I have read a review that one parents baby could not see out of it - I would recommend removing the sun canopy and I would recommend just taking some toys attached to the car seat to keep baby amused - I feel that if baby cannot have a good view they are well protected in the event of an accident - you can even get musical things now to tie around the headrests so baby can be kept amused etc. The bebe confort creatis will last a baby through until they are ready for a forward facing car seat which I will stand by recommending at the age of 9 months (depending on weight of child) as any longer they are overflowing the car seat and in my opnion I do not deem it the safest option to travel. The car seat will last you through until then. It is also very easy to carry. As I have previously mentioned I have had a few different car seats with my 3 children and this rates very highly. The only thing I would recommend to reach the full potential of this car seat in the event of an accident is to get the easy fit base that has a metal bar at the front to absorb impact against the seat and by getting this you have extra protection and there is no way you should get installing the car seat wrong (the base is only available to fit the Creatis Fix car seats which I believe are from 2007 onwards but please check this as I am not sure what month they came out in.
I hope I have been of some help out there to all you parents - and thank you for taking the time to read my review. This is the first review I have ever done and I have really enjoyed doing it. I have had loads of pushchairs also (singles and doubles) so I think I will leave some reviews for those also.
Kind regards & happy parenting Sally (Manchester) mother to 3 lovelly children xxx

good 1st review welcome to ciao. You might find that if you split your review into paragraphs that it will have a better overall look and be easier to read :o)

You've included lots of information relating to the car seat. I just didn't find it that easy to read as it was in one very, very long paragraph. Would be more reader-friendly if you broke it down in to headings and / or different paragraphs.
Advantages: stylish, very safe, can use with pushchair, baby can be rear-facing for longer Disadvantages: a tight fit in small cars (but it can be done!)
