Advantages: sarcastic, sometimes caustic comedy, good cast Disadvantages: Ted Danson's hairpiece
Becker, a comedy programme on Paramount, is one of my favorite shows. Becker is a sarcastic, ill tempered doctor who is continually frustrated by the stupidity around him. Ted Danson (of Cheers fame), who plays Becker, is very, very good at this. The show's timing is perfect, reflecting sarcasm and sensitivity equally. Well, a lot more of the former than the latter. The uniqueness of the show's characters will keep you laughing and groaning alike.
Becker is a doctor who hates everyone. He is convinced that people are scum, and is often proven right. However, the times when he is wrong are hilarious, such as the time he mistook a kindly old nun for a maniacal stalker.
I dare you to watch this show and not laugh - even if you don't like Danson. Try it, you will be surprised ...

Advantages: Stylish appearance, Intelligent route planning, accurate ETA calculation Disadvantages: No major disadvantages
I bought this to upgrade a built in Toyota satnav system. Build quality is good and it is easy to use, once you work out that after planning a multi point route it has to be given a name before the unit will accept it. On the whole I find the routing software is well up to the job and have had no problems in the three months I've been using it. It doesn't seem to have the strong "pulls" for motorways my earlier system had ie taking you on a long detour just so as you can use a short section of motorway. It has quite a good local speed limit database so does a better route calculation than my previous system that rated all A roads the same speed limit. The Becker can distinguish an A road that mostly runs through built up areas from one with mainly national speed limit and can plan routes accordingly. It gives accurate ETA calculations ...
Advantages: Easy to use, cheap to buy. tons of EU countries Disadvantages: cant input actual gps co-ordinates - have to put in postcode or address
this system is a good alternative to higher priced systems. It does tell you where to go! as with all sat navs they arent 100% reliable but so far this one has got me down to the south of france and up to scotland with not much trouble. It doesnt have the speed camera alerts - but this isnt a problem if like me u dont speed much due to rising fuel costs! the maps of most of europe are preety comprehensive and Becker do sell upgraded maps on their websites for a reasonable price of around £90. It doesnt have blue tooth but does have mp3 play back and picture viewing - personally - i just use it for the directions -. The ETA predictions are pretty good and you can advise it with you are a slow car ( me) or a lorry or a bike etc and it will adjust for you - handy features such as avoid tolls, motorways etc all work well. Over all feel ...
