Disadvantages: Localisation issues, lack of spoken information with TrafficMaster and Safety Cameras

...The unit is relatively simple to set up and use, though it is too easy to mis-hit the touch sensitive screen, this is especially annoying when entering the pin (if using the security feature). Accuracy in urban areas and on trunk routes is generally good, but becomes quite poor in hilly terrain. In the Lake District it tried to send me down dead-end farm tracks several times! The Traffic Master facility (360 T) and Safety Camera database are both useful, but best used with a passenger's assistance as warnings are not spoken, only issued with a sign and/or text accompanied by one or two 'bongs' but this is not much help, and potentially quite dangerous, if the driver's eyesight is less than perfect. ...This new GPS system is Tom Tom high-end version. The Tom Tom Go 930 drives you where you need to go with accurate directions and new navigation tools such as voice address entry and advanced game guidance! The Pros--- Offering entry by voice keeps your hands on the wheel if your driving and need to change route… the new lane assistance helps when the roads get complex by rendering the roads in a 3D form- making the route easier to follow. ...This years must have item seems to be Satellite navigation. Of course over the last few years these little in car devices seem to have been growing popularity but this years run up to Christmas has really seen an explosion in the advertising and purchase of them. So being into my gadgets and not having one I decided with the offers about it was time to invest, especially as I spend a lot of my working week in the car going from one place to another. I did a bit of research on which one to go for and in the end went into Halfords and asked the assistant. I expected the hard sale and to be pushed towards some top of the range model that was miles out of my price range.
