I was beginning to feel really rough as I couldn’t stop sneezing all the time and it felt like I had a constant cold and it got really bad whenever I went outside the house. As a child I often wondered why I had hayfever all year round when everyone else only suffered in May and June. Not until I was over 20 did a doctor mention 'rhinitis' to me, which is the irritation of the lining of the nose (that horrible tickly feeling). This can be caused by hayfever, but is just as often caused by other allergies, such as to animals, perfume and dust mite. I was quite surprised when my doctor diagnosed me with hayfever a few years ago. I always thought that it was something you were born with, silly me. The first remedies I tried were Clarityn Allergy tablets (which were absolutely fantastic but expensive) and Rhinolast Nasal spray which was equally good but I found I always had a bitter aftertaste after using it.
