Music to your ears Advantages: Very soft pillow, plays the music at a reasonable level, nice novelty. Disadvantages: Not washable and so has a limited life. I recently noticed a Sound Asleep pillow in a local curtain and bedding store but did not quite realise what it actually was. As I have spondylosis in my neck I am always on the look out for good pillows and that this was called'Sound Asleep' as it was so good.. However this one was not what I would call a good pillow; in other words one which will aid restful sleep due to its' material etc. For one thing it felt very soft, just the sort of pillow ... ...why it was called the Sound Asleep Pillow. At one corner of this pillow there is a lead which has a jack at the end, so that you can connect it to a music player. Something such as an MP3, IPOD or really any music equipment you have, that has a suitable connection for headphones. I guess you could even attach it to a radio or television!. The other end is attached to a lead which sits in the pillow and is attached to a small speaker. Space age sleep Advantages: supports your neck, reduces tossing and turning, reduces nexk pain Disadvantages: expensive, not waterproof ...from a material known as Tempur (hmm, that possibly explains the name), which, according to the Tempur marketing machine was developed by NASA "in order to improve seating comfort and g-force protection in spacecrafts". Basically it is a temperature sensitive material that moulds to whatever is placed on it. So, when you lie on it, the parts of your body that make the most contact (i.e., the heaviest) give off more heat, causing the material to mould ... ...I did that with my Tempur pillow it hurt! This is because the pillow is quite hard- as you lie on it, it gradually moulds to the shape of your head, and feels quite nice. I also found that the first time I used it, I woke up with a bit of a neckache. I had to try a few different sleeping positions to work out which was the most comfortable with this pillow, as it does feel quite different from a normal pillow. wonder pillow - the Chillow! Advantages: Cooling effect, help you sleep better Disadvantages: fairly expensive (but a one-off cost if you take care of it), faint plastic-y smell Hi there! I bought the Chillow as a present for my boyfriend, as he's always saying he's too hot. Whether it's just sitting in the house, in the gym or - worst of all - when he's trying to sleep, more often than not he finds it uncomfortable. With the arrival of the warmer weather he has been finding it particularly difficult to get a good, rested nights sleep, so I decided to splash out and buy him the Chillow as a surprise for him. Feathered pillows!!!! Just gr8 x x x Advantages: Confortable, relaxing and more... Disadvantages: Urm... Hey, You couldn't believe how amazing these pillows are, in fact I'm using one right now, These pillows are so snug and comfy, your head just sinks down into it and it's so relaxing!!! My sister got two but when there fluffed up and pumped up there so big and comfy you only need one so she gave me the other!!! There so soft, my mum and dad has them and she always used to nick them so they had to buy her some, laugh out loud!!! You don't know ... What's an inch thick and keeps me satisfied? Advantages: Is amazing, helps me sleep, keeps cool and so on Disadvantages: If you have cats they might burst it The Chillow Pillow is something of a genius idea; I don't quite know how I have managed without it up until now. When I am in bed I love to have a cold pillow, the colder the better to rest my weary head and brain before drifting off into a peaceful slumber.
