Both adults and children can use these tablets but only children over the age of 12 years of age and are to take two tablets every 4 hours and all 8 should not to be taken within 24 hours.
I made my partner take 2 tablets as soon as i got back from ASDA with a glass of juice and made him rest. after a while he turned to me and told me that his headache had eased and his head didnt feel so heavy and his other body aches seemed to be easing to, this took place within roughly 30 minutes. He was still coughing slightly but it wasnt as chesty and phlegmy. his nose was still blocked. The tablets seemed to last up to 3 hours which wasnt to bad as he had only had to wait an extra hour before he could take his next 2 tablets.
You just need to be careful that you do not suffer from any of the side effects that they may have such as skin may rash, if you have a allergic reaction to any of the ingedients, upset stomachs, high blood pressure, headaches, dizziness etc, lucky my boyfriend didnt suffer from any of these. People who shouldnt take these tablets are people who suffer from any allergies to the ingredients, have a kidney or liver problems, over active thyroid, is a diabetic, high blood pressure or heart disease and should also not be taken if you are on anti- depressants or anticoagulants.
Overall i think that Beechems All in one was very good as they did what they said on the packaging, it eased his aches and pains, and he was well again within a couple of days.
Advantages: do relieve aches, pains and a cough. Loosens phlegm nicely! Non-drowsy Disadvantages: Didnt clear my blocked nose, cost me a fortune, took a while to kick in

Three days ago I was boasting about how I am the only one in my University flat who didn't get 'freshers flu'. The day after, I woke up feeling absolutely awful! I had a full-blown cold!
Feeling very sorry for myself I wandered down the medical aisle of Asda looking for something to ease my aches and pains, blocked nose and cough. I saw various flu remedies and finally picked ... ...on anti-depressants or anticoagulants.
Beechams All In One Tablets are manufactured on behalf of GlaxoSmithKline.
Overall I wasn't too impressed with these tablets, they did ease my aches and pains but it took a while for them too kick in, they didn't even touch my blocked nose which I was annoyed about although to be fair, I haven't yet found a decongestant in tablet form that actually works! The tablets were very expensive compared to Asdas own ...

Advantages: It works - eventually Disadvantages: Expensive, takes a while to kick in
...I found to my relief Beechams All in One Tablets, non-drowsy - excellent won’t fall asleep at work later then (you may laugh but that’s happened to me before luckily they knew I was ill and didn’t sack me, didn’t give me the rest of the day off either the swines). Sorry rambling again, according to their nice colour co-ordinated dark and light blue packaging with the white writing, this is effective for headaches (yes I have a stinking migraine), ... ...safe there) and chesty cough (nope to that as well). Well 2 out of 4 isn’t far off, so I read the instructions for the adult dosage - 2 tablets every 4 hours as necessary. That’s the same for children of 12, anybody under 12 must consult a doctor first. You should also consult your doctor if you are on any other medication or pregnant/breast feeding, all common sense stuff really.
To say they weren’t fabulous would be a bit unfair of me as I later ...

...after taking 2 packets of beechams cold and flue capsules (in vain). I was all prepared so subject myself to the horror that is liquid expectorant when i spied beechams all in one tablets, promising to break down my phelgm (niiiice) and relieve my chest cough. AND they were on special offer, half price in boots, woo hoo! I didnt need any more convincing, so i snapped up a box of 16 and i think they cost me arounf £2.30 half price, apologies but i ... ...So its 3 days later and ive used 8 of the 16 tablets, im still cloughing and im still phlegmy (again, niiiice) but the feelings of illness are mostly confined to the morning. By lunchtime i feel much better apart from the odd coughing fit, i dont really feel that the tablets have done much for me and im glad i didnt give in and go to the doctors and get a bottle of antibiotics because i feel like im getting better, perhaps a bit slower than i might ...

I had bought Beechams Flu Plus Caplets a few weeks ago, in anticipation of falling ill, as I usually do because I have a low immune system following a childhood illness. They are packaged in a very attractive box which is quite eye-catching. There are sixteen caplets in the box in two strips. They are very easy to swallow, and are no bigger than a pea! The box states that they provide 'rapid and effective relief from the major cold and flu symptoms ... ...with that! The symptoms that they work on include - Fever
Headache
Aching limbs
Blocked nose
Sore throat pain
Painful sinuses
Shivers
Adults and children over 12 are advised to take the caplets every 4 - 6 hours, consuming no more than 8 in 24 hours. Children aged 6 to 12 should take 1 caplet every four to 6 hours, consuming no more than 4 within 24 hours. Children under six should not take any at all. Each tablet includes -

Quick and easy to use. Does seem to reduce severity of cold like symptoms and shortens timescale of suffering.
Expensive. Tastes revolting. Difficult to tell whether this product really does combat infection, as avoidance of coughs and colds could be put down to a sensible diet or healthy lifestyle instead. (*)
