Advantages: simple, user friendly Disadvantages: a little basic looking
I bought this mixer when I decided to change from a mixer-amp (Studiomaster, powerhouse600) to a separate amp and mixer.
I wanted a mixer that had enough channels to do disco/karaoke and wasn't cluttered with gadgets that I would never use.
While looking around at various manufacturers I came across the Behringer DX1000.
The DX1000 has been around since about 1999 so, not surprisingly, it looks a bit dated.
It is a physically large mixer compared to a lot on the market today, but this gives it a sparse look which I found rather attractive.
It is laid out very well, has everything I need, and as an added bonus it is a stereo mixer.
