Being Jordan: Illustrated Edition - Katie Price

Advantages: You can read first hand about the rumours and gossip surrounding Jordan
Disadvantages: It could be seen as a one sided view

...I was lent this book by a friend, and despite my scepticism ( I am not a huge fan of Jordan), I decided to give it a go. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The book is a well written, comprehensive account of Katie's life. She is open and candid about many issues, including the birth of her son, and subsequent discovery of his health problems, and her relationships with Dwight Yorke and Dane Bowers to name but a few. I would recommend this book, even if you are not a fan, because it provides a good insight into Katie's life, both in the public eye, and in her private life. I found it moving, amusing and very hard to put down.... Read review

...I have to admit that up until this year, I had paid very little attention to Jordan when I saw her in the papers and on TV, thinking that she was just another 'one of those' models. I had heard gossip because, let's admit it, whether you like her or not, it is near impossible to avoid hearing about Jordan, Harvey and Peter. When I started watching the Katie and Peter Diaries on TV, I saw a different side of Jordan, namely Katie, and wanted to know more about her and how she became famous. "Being Jordan" was perfect for that. Written in a straightforward and extremely honest stlye, this autoboigraphy allows Katie Price to get her story told, to put right all the rumours about her as a model, girlfriend and mother. ...Now dont get me wrong this book had in everything the lovely Katie Price aka Jordan had been forever promising us just not as in depth as I was anticipating yet it is still amazing what this young lady has crammed into her short life so far. I had waited as patiently as everyone for its release and while I found the gossip content to be naturally interesting ( im very nosey ! ) I discovered that I was more often than not reading what I had already read previously in the gossip columns of most daily tabloid newspapers throughout much of her career. Her comments on the progress of her son were generally pleasant to read and they gave the book a positive outlook in places. I hope he does well. The dual cover was a nice touch showing both Katie and Jordan as we know them.... Read review
