Whether you love her or hate her you have to give Katie price due credit. Her sexy alter ego 'Jordan' has become a worldwide name and she is well known for getting exactly what she wants and not holding back on anything. But is she really as carefree and as forward as she makes herself out to be? Being Jordan reveals the truth behind the lies and who Katie price really is.
*** My Opinion On... ***
Here you will find my opinion on every aspect of the book from the way it is written, how many secrets are revealed and what I now think after reading it, just to give you the best idea of how much you think you'll enjoy it.
1) The Way It Is Written.
The book is separated into 34 chapters. Some are only a couple of pages long whereas others are a little bigger. I liked the layout because it was easy to read and work my way through the book. With it being an Autobiography, the writing wasn't done by Katie herself but it didn't show that it wasn't Katie writing. There were a few swear words in there but nothing over the top I don't think. The writing in it isn't too small and I like the photographs that are added too although when reading the book I did get frustrated because you'd get to the bottom of the page, turn over and there would be 4 pages of photographs before you could carry
on with what was being said and it was so easy to forget what you'd read that you'd have to go back and read it again lol. So I feel they should have at least ended a chapter with them so that you could enjoy the pictures without having to worry about where you were in the sentence. There were also a few spelling mistakes throughout the book and also a few sentences repeated which made me think I was going mad at the time because I'd just read the same thing! Apart from those couple of things though, the way it was written was really good.
2) How Saucy Is It?
With it being 'Jordans' book I have to admit that i thought it would be quite saucy, after all that is what she is famous for. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I found although there was a lot of references to sex it didn't go into too much detail. It was definitely less saucy than a Mills and Boon book that's for sure! There was just enough sauciness in there for it to be Katie but nothing over the top or sick. The most saucy thing in the book are some of the photographs so if you have children hide the book if you don't want them to see any indecent images!
3) How Many Secrets Were There?
I think in an Autobiography we buy them for what the celebs will reveal to us. We want gossip and lots of it! So you'll be pleased to hear there is quite a bit in here and Katie doesn't hold back on what she thinks of the various men in her life. There are quite a few things we never knew in there too about her growing up and entering the modelling world. I aren't going to say what because that would spoil it but I can say that she hasn't had the best of times and things have got really tough for her. Some things she does talk about are Gareth Gates, Dwight York, Dane Bowers and her son Harvey.
4) How Interesting Was It?
I managed to finish reading this book in 3 days as I absolutely loved it! The things Katie has been through must have been really tough on her and it was interesting to read the truth behind the rumours. What I found most interesting was her relationships with the men she has been with especially Dwight York. It does have a slight 'dark' feeling to it at first because the subject isn't really nice and it made me feel sorry for Katie. Naturally i am a very nosey person so this was exactly the kind of book I needed and it ended up being a real page turner!
5) Did It Change My Opinion Of Katie?
It definitely changed my opinion of Katie. Before I would always call her Jordan and associated her with a loud, party-crazed girl who had no shame and wore as little as possible whenever she could. I really couldn't stand her and felt embarrassed for her when she hit the headlines over her drinking. She was a girl who was easy to hate. But now after reading her book I've realised a lot that we the public didn't know. Media has a lot to do with how we see people. Who isn't guilty of picking up a paper, reading it's headline about a celebrity and believing it?
I have found that Katie Price is completely different to 'Jordan'. Jordan pays the bills and earns a living. She knows what to say to get the publicity and the photo shoots. She's saucy and loud and always up for a laugh. Katie Price on the other hand is a little more reserved. She saves Jordan for the public and keeps Katie private and for the people closest to her and who can blame her for that?
*** Price And Availability ***
You can Buy this book in almost every bookshop. Prices will vary depending on where you shop. Personally I got mine from a book club I have just signed up with and I got it for a mere one pounds. The most expensive price you will pay is 16.99p but I've seen most places sell it for 9.99p. So shop around for the best bargains!
*** My Final Opinion ***
I would recommend this book to anybody who likes a bit of gossip and who has an interest in 'Jordan' or 'Katie'. Obviously the target audience is aimed towards the 18 plus for the swearing and the sex content and also the pictures. Even if you hate her I'd recommend it because I used to hate her. I was guilty of calling her a slapper or a tart who had no respect for herself, but after reading this I was convinced otherwise. She's now starting her music career and I wish her luck with that because I really do feel she has a good voice. Obviously not everyone is going to like her but at least give her a chance. Go on, read the book, you know you want to!

A very well written review, I liked the way you've broken it down into sections to make it easier to read. I would quite like to read this book (I nearly called it a novel by accident there!) but I actually think the whole Jordan/Katie thing is starting to even confuse HER! I'm not sure she knows which one is which anymore! (and is it just me, or did she look like a pink tellytubby in the eurovision thingy?)
