Advantages: Simple and easy to understand and play, FREE, colourful, great for young children as it can be educational, addictive, good fun. Disadvantages: Very addictive, it takes a few seconds to load the trial version up if you decide not to buy the full version.

I have already written about text twist, and super collapse and my recent addiction is called bejeweled. It is an easy game to grasp although it is not that easy to complete.
********************HOW TO GET IT*********************
If you visit http://www.popcap.com/multiplayer.php?theGame=luckypenny you will find the downloadable version of this game for windows. You can play without downloading it if you want, but I chose to download it.
Downloading this game doesn't take long and as soon as it is downloaded you are able to start playing. Unfortunately, if you do not purchase this game you are unable to save your scores, even with the downloaded version. If you do decide to purchase this game you can then register the trial version that you have downloaded and then you will be able to save your scores and enjoy a few extra levels.
The trial version of this game has limited options that you can play with and these are sound and size of screen. You can play this game with a small window which is the default or you can shange it to a full screen. I have found that by changing it to a full screen some of the colours are a little fainter. I like playing in full screen as it gives you more to look at but a small window provides better colours!
**********************HOW TO PLAY*********************
When you load this game up you are presented with a screen that is full of different coloured shapes. The aim of the game is to match three or more shapes, with a single move. The shapes can be moved with the one next to it and you can only move one place at a time. Basically you are swapping places with one shape for another.
If you click on a shape and try to move it and it doesn't form a line of three or more the shapes move back to their original place and you have not scored anything.
To move the shapes all you have to do is click on one of the shapes and then holding the mouse button down move your mouse to the shape next to it and let go. This will move the shapes for you. You can individually click on each shape if you want to, but doing it the other way will save you time, especially if you play the time trial version.
With the downloadable version you are able to play normally. This means you can work through the levels and not have to beat the clock. You can take more time with this as there is no rush. You can also play the time trial if you like. The rules are the same but you have to beat the clock.
Once you have completed a level, the remaining shapes will swirl in the middle of the window and the next level will load. Along the bottom of the screen, below the game ther is a bar that shows how close you are to completing each level. This turns green the more shapes that you get rid of. The down side is, if you work your way through a level and no more moves are available to you the games says "no more moves" and you have lost! This stops you from progressing through the levels and you have to start all over again.
Each level is a different colour background and it is always full of shapes. Once you have matched up three or more shapes they dissapear and more replace them. You will never clear the whole screen of shapes but you have to clear the level by filling the progress bar.
**********************EASE OF PLAY********************
Playing this game is easy and the rules are simple to understand. If you do get stuck you can click on the "need a hint" button and one of the shapes will flash. This is the shape that you can move to form a set of three or more. Doing this will really help you are if you can not find a shape to move, but it will cost you points!
For each line of three shapes you remove you are awarded 10 points. If you match more than three then more points are awarded. If you match one lot of shapes and that leads straight into another set and and another set, the game will call out excellent and you arw then awarded extra bonus points.
This game is very simple to understand and therefore makes it a great game for younger children to play. I am 23 and have throughly enjoyed playing this game for about a week now but my two young step children enjoy playing it too. The 11 year old really has mastered it now, although she does get stuck from time to time and the 9 year old likes to play it, although she does need a little help from time to time.
This game, because of it's ease of use, makes it very addictive. Once you have done so many levels and you loose you will return to play again, because you know you can beat the level you got to, only you can't so you keep going back for more. It is highly addictive and I can play this game for well over an hour before I realise it has been that long!
*********************PRICE OF GAME********************
If you decide that you want to purchase this game then you will need to visit the website and click on the "register your trial version" link. This will take you to a page that tells you the price of this game. Once you have been through the buying you are presented with a number. This number then needs to be added to the trial version and kept for future reference. Once you have registered your trial version the game is yours. If for any reason it ends up being uninstalled you can simply download it again and enter your registration number and it will recognise that you have pruchased it.
I like how the simplist of games can keep me amused for hours and this is one of them! It is brightly coloured and easy to see. It is addictive and although it is an easy game to come to terms with the levels can be a bit of a challenge.
The fact that you can play normal mode or time trial adds more excitment aswell. The time trial is a real challenge as you are aware that the time is running out and you have lots to still match up! Very frustrating, yet highly amusing.
I like the fact that this game is colourful and easy to play. It is very appealing to the eye and the shapes and colours are very clear. The fact that it is so colourful is what appeals to the younger children I think.
Not only is this game a great way to waste away those free hours but for children it is educational, especially if they are still young. It will teach them about shapes and colours and the fact that you can not cheat is great! It teaches them not to give up so easily.
Personally, I have not bought this game I am just playing the download. As far as I am aware there is no limit as to how many times you can play and so I am happy to just continue playing the trial version. This game is also available off other game websites so if it does run out, I will simply go to another site and download their trial version. Buying this is not an option for me as I change my mind about games as quick as the weather changes! This is my latest craze, but the novelty will eventually wear off and then I will be addicted to something else.
However, saying this, for the time being this game has me hook,line and sinker and I have a feeling it will keep me this way for a while yet!
Very addictive, easy to play, colourful and educational and best of all FREE!
Given four stars because you are unable to save your scores if you play on the trial version.

This game is great! It is very easy to play, and very hard to stop playing. The music is interesting but not intrusive. Its premise is easy. Simply move the jewels to make rows of 3 or more. The more jewels you incorporate, the more points you get. Because its so easy to learn, and to play, the kids love it. Heck, the grownups love it. I work part time and when I get in I log on to our p.c. and catch up on the news from family and friends, also log into Ciao and see what is happening there.
Whilst logging on last week (Friday) to my p.c. I saw the "Bejeweled 2" as a free game.
Not being a p.c. game person, our daughter has a Wii, and I have played Super Mario and give it a fair go. I also play crib and dominos on the p.c. not too taxing.
I tried the free on-line "Bejeweled 2".
Oh what a mistake to make?????????I was hooked.
