Many years ago (approx 5) I received a TV as my main Christmas present. I had great fun opening the wrapping (such a big box to unwrap!) I looked on the box and saw the make-BEKO. "BEKO"?!?!?! I thought, what kind of flipping make is that?! or words to that effect-it was certainly a make I had never heard of before.
Anyway straight upstairs I went with my TV and set about setting the TV up. It was remarkably easy to set the channels into it, it was simply bring up the menu, select tuning, let it search and then save the channels correctly. Despite not having a fantastic picture using the aerial it came with I was really impressed. I have since had it wired into the proper aerial on the roof top so the picture is now superb.
The features on my TV also impressed me, it has teletext, fast text, a remote. Not much you may say but I was impressed for my first TV.
The TV also sounds very good, there is no noticable deficiency in quality to a top of the range one and the volume goes up to such a level I don't expect i will ever want to/need to use.
The price of the TV was also very reasonable, I think it was about £90, and although it would be expensive for this type of TV now, at the time I got it it was very good value. I am not sure this TV is for sale any more although I am sure if it isn't there are many other cheap decent TV's around made by BEKO.
One problem I have encountered is that the remote unfortunately broke, this is a common problem in our household, probably due to the treatment it recieves rather than a fault of the product! They can only withstand so much throwing aroumd, playing with by the dog and running over with a wheelchair! Fortunately we were able to buy one of those remotes compatible with all TV's, although all the buttons (volume being the main problem) don't work it is still possible to do this on the front of the TV and is a sufficient replacement.
The buttons on the front of the TV are also slightly disappointing, it is hard to press them and is hard to tell if they are being pressed-not easy to do if you have long nails! (or nails at all for that matter!), it also requires a wait if you wanted to change to channel and then the volume (or vice versa) as there is a set period of time once one has been altered where if the up/down buttons are pressed it alters the previously altered setting, it is often a matter of trial and error.
I have also got my VCR and playstation all plugged into my TV, this system works very well as it is a different channel for each system and the TV performs admirably-remaining at a decent temperature despite me often having it on all day every day.
So in conclusion am I happy with this TV? The answer is a resounding YES, don't get me wrong it is no fantastic wide-screen super duper top of the range TV, but it does what it supposed to do (small compact, reliable, quality, reasonably priced colour TV) extremely well.
It had been on the cards for a while the old cooker had seen better days, the handles were breaking off it was dull in colour even though it was supposed to be white. So we decided it was time to sent it to the old cooker heaven in the dump.

i've used mine every day for 3 months 7 times in one day once!
i would recommend this to anyone as it is so easy to use.
