As mentioned in my profile just over 18 months ago I moved into a my first home of my own. I was lucky in that the previous owner left the cooker so the only 'white appliances' I needed were a washing machine (the great Zanussi ???? has already been reviewed) and a fridge freezer.
The kitchen which is a little small and not greatly designed only had a limited space for the fridge freezer as it was firstly situated next to the window, so it couldn't be to high else it would block all the light and there was also limited width, the gap was a maximum of 545mm. Also we didn't want to pay too much for it as getting a first home is quite an expensive experience.
After much hunting around we opted for the Beko CA5411FFW which fitted all the criteria, it is 152 cm high so didn't obscure all of the window, its 54cm wide so fitted in the gap and was reasonably priced at £260 (plus delivery which was an extra £15 which also wasn't bad as we had the washing machine delivered at the same time).
Once it had arrived the first job was to reverse the doors as we needed them to hinge on the left hand side whereas the default is for them to hinge from the right. The instructions in the supplied manual were straight forward and indeed it wasn't too much of a problem once equipped with the right tools (a flat head and crosshead screwdriver and a socket set) but did require the fridge freezer to be propped against the wall at about 45 degrees to access the blots holding on the bottom door. In all I think it took about an hour.
Once this was done the fridge had to left to 'settle' for a few hours, after which it could be turned on for its initial freeze / chill which took about a day.
The freezer which is the bottom comportment has 3 main 'shelves'. It is composed of 2 full sized shelves (with the top shelf being a fast freeze compartment behind which sits the main fan) and a lower basket which is not as about two thirds as deep as the other 2 shelves. At the very top of the freezer compartment is a thin tray (about 3 inches deep) which we used for ice cube trays, freezer block etc. It is worth noting that there is no height adjustment for any of the freezer shelves.
The fridge (which is slightly larger than the freezer at 4.9 cubic feet) has at the bottom 2 salad crispers, both of equal size, which are located at the bottom. These are then topped by a glass shelf which shouldn't really be moved as they do form the lids of the salad crispers.
The are a further 2 glass shelves which can be adjusted to suit your needs by placing them on the desired runners (there are 5 to choose from). The door provides more storage with 3 shallow shelves can't be adjusted but can be removed to provide more height should tall items need to be stored.
The unit is also relatively efficient having an A rating and is easy to look after as it is a 'frost free' model meaning that it defrosts itself - this seems to work as I haven't has to do anything in the 18 (+) months I have owned it.
All in all I can thoroughly recommend it !!

Advantages: Price, Storage, Water Dispenser, Fast freezing, Modern, Stylish, Safe, Free Ice tray is a nice touch. Disadvantages: Cant store 6 pint bottles?!! (Hardly a major disadvantage!)
