Firstly, I would like to mention the appearance of this appliance. It is quite a classy looking appliance which set our kitchen off a treat. This fridge-freezer is very similar in appearance to those which carry far greater price tags. The appliance, in colour, is a subtle grey/silver and is neutral, it therefore will sit well, in appearance, in any style of kitchen without looking 'out of place'. The appliance is finished in a way which doesn't leave annoying streaky marks when it has been wiped or cleaned. Many silver appliances of a similar colour leave streaky marks when they have been wiped or cleaned and therefore sometimes look worse when they have been cleaned than they did before it was attempted! The surface of this product is very easy to keep clean. Mine still looks new and we've had it for four years!

For the price which was paid for the item (£249.99 - in Curry's), the product is very durable. The shelves and general content of the appliance come across as 'well built' and does not come across as flimsy in any way at all, which may have been expected, judging purely by the price tag. There are two separate vegetable drawers/crispers which slide very nicely in their slot and are similarly, not flimsy. The doors on the appliance are fairly heavy and do not appear or feel like they have been made cheaply and the general feel of the product can be likened to that of appliances made by manufacturers charging a far greater price. The water dispenser which is also featured on the fridge-freezer is very easy to keep clean and is quite a practical little feature.

The 'frost free' feature of the appliance is absolutely fantastic! My family and I wouldn't be without it! (after spending years faffing about defrosting the previous fridge-freezers/freezers we have had in the past) As previously mentioned, we have had the appliance for four years now and it has not had to be defrosted once since the day of purchase. I know friends and family members who have had "Frost Free" fridge-freezers that have needed defrosting nearly as regularly as one which is not frost free, and they have paid over the odds for this function! (when reminded of how little we paid for ours, and the fact that it has never needed defrosting, they don't like to hear it - haha).

The water dispenser which is featured on this appliance is very useful in the summer, especially when the weather is very warm (not like this summer) and people are wanting easy access to very cold water. This feature is very useful since we have a water filter jug which we can transfer the water from. This fridge-freezer does not have a water dispenser feature which is plumbed-in, it is one which you have to fill up manually... but this means that it takes up less room on the actual fridge door. (I have noticed on some fridge-freezers which are plumbed-in that the water dispenser feature takes up a great deal of space on the fridge door, as does the ice dispenser in the freezer section). The water dispenser on this BEKO appliance is very easy to keep clean too!

It would appear that this appliance is very efficient. The electricity bills for our home decreased around the time that this appliance was installed, and the fridge-freezer was the only thing which had changed. This is likely to be due to the appliance's AA energy rating for the Frost Free function and Refrigeration function.

The BEKO CDA563F is very easy to keep clean, this is mainly because it is lined with an antibacterial lining which provides a surface which is easily wiped clean and prevents stains and 'stickyness' remaining on the surface and provides easy removal of mess and spills. The glass shelves also make this appliance very easy to clean because they can be simply wiped. The glass shelves on this appliance make it superior to some other fridges because they prevent items in the fridge toppling over and making a mess (this used to happen regularly in our previous fridge which has wire shelving). Glass shelving in refrigerators can also be likened to that of more expensive models.

The main advantage and attraction to this product was the price, but after having experienced this appliance, I would certainly purchase further BEKO appliances/fridge-freezers and would certainly recommend this product to friends and family... especially those who are still having to defrost their similar and more expensive "frost free" models!

An extremely good buy!... best we've ever had, by far!
