We finally managed to sort one out through our local Comet store, which has to be said were very efficient. They arranged to deliver between 8.00am and 6.00pm on a sunday, and the delivery men arrived at 7.51am on the day! You can arrange for them to take your old unit away for a small charge.
I won't go into any depth on the technical side of this machine, as this is already easily available elsewhere on the web.

Thus, after much research, we settled on the BEKO CDA648FS, which initially was difficult to obtain due to stock shortages etc.

In brief summary, its very tall, and dwarfed our old Indesit, coming in at just short of two meters. It comes with a cavernous fridge compartment up top and a capacious 4 drawer freezer section below, complete with seperate "Ice cube bank".
It's frost free, and the feel of the unit, both inside and out gives off an air of toughness and durability. On viewing in the store, we looked at other units to compare. An equivilant Zanussi seemed a bit "Flimsy" with it's interior shelving and drawers etc.
The instructions say that you may notice that the unit us noisier than you're used to, due to the frost free circulation fan. I've got to say though, that it is very quite indeed. Almost silent when compared to our non-frost free indesit.
The fridge has 4 toughened glass shelves with excellent height allowance, two vegetable crisper trays and 3 decent sized shelves on the door. It operates the usual autodefrost system on the rear panel of the fridge, so it is important to keep the drainage hole unblocked.
The usual egg tray, ice cube tray are included, and the door can store any type of bootle no probs.
The unit also has a couple of small castor wheels at the back which make it very easy to manouver.
When we finally switched it on (You need to leave it for 4 hours for the compressor oil to settle), Upon transferring everything out of our cramped Indesit, it gave the impression of still being empty after we'd finished!
We've only just started using it, but our first impressions are excellent.
We bought the new BEKO CDA648FS at the end of may so have had it about a month so far .We purchased it from comet online for a cost of £299 which included free delivery but wasnt given a time of delivery only the day i believe you can pay extra for a timed delivery if required .We bought the BEKO CDA648FS to replace our under counter integrated fridge and freezer to free up some needed cupboard space.
When it arrived i was surprised with the size ... ...compartment is very sturdy indeed with 3 adjustable glass shelves and 2 salad crispers and holds 180 litres .The freezer compartment has 4 food drawers and 1 ice cube tray which is at the top which i was surprised holds lots it holds 90 litres .The unit also has reversible doors which i find very handy as not all kitchens are built the same.
I was told that as it was a frost free unit it would be noisier but to be honest i havent noticed it that ...
