Advantages: Economical with a good selection of programmes Disadvantages: Only 5kg maximum load
I have just replaced my old washing machine with a Beko and wow what a difference. Not only is the machine more compact it is also A+ energy efficient. My old machine was noisy, time consuming and temperamental towards the end which is why I am so pleased with the efficiency and quality of this product.
I ordered the Beko WM5140W from Pixmania for only £179 and after it was efficiently and professional unpacked and installed by the delivery team I was eager to start clearing the washing that had piled up over the last few days. Having read the instructions which I found to be very easily laid out and structured to be user friendly I duly followed the instructions for ?First Use?.
This was to use the machine at ?cottons 90 °C? programme without any laundry items. I found the dials easy to read and operate as they are all clearly ...

Advantages: Great feature set, fast, GFX card, HDMI out Disadvantages: keyboard/touchpad could be better
I recently had a motherboard failure on my existing Dell Inspiron laptop and given its age, repair looked a bad move as one could buy a new laptop for less. However, once I decided to see what was available and given my two main criteria - a higher than usual resolution screen and three year warranty, I suddenly found the price spiraling upwards.
After much searching I settled on an XPS M1530. The price on the Dell web site was around £1000 but a phone call to Dell resulted in quite a dramatic price cut to reflect my 'loyalty as a customer' and that it was a replacement for a failed (nearly four year old) unit. They probably won't thank me for saying what I paid but it was a done deal and a few days later it arrived.
Features
An Intel Core 2 Duo CPU running at 2Ghz and 2Gb of RAM, 250Gb SATA hard drive plus a 1680x1050 screen ...

Advantages: cheap Disadvantages: doesnt heat up before it stops - have to keep restarting the cycle
I was looking for the cheapest tumble dryer I could find. Cheaper meant vented as opposed to condensing. Vented seems the better option if you already have a hold for the venting pipe.
It seems cheaper can actually be too frugal to the detriment of actually getting the clothes dried. Bought mine from comet and it packed up within a 1 month. It would not heat up, hence clothes would not dry. Engineer came out to fix it and said the thermostat had gone and would need to be ordered. But this never happened, so a wrangle ensued with Comet as I tried to return it and they have this horribly complicated returns process - that I eventually had to get Beko to authorise.
Got another as a replacement, but problems can still persist - but at least only £100 down the drain and not £200+ ...
