My partner and I bought one of these out of currys for £200 without fitting, It seemed a very good deal for the price range we were looking at.
Installation
very simple, one cold water pipe (heats up the water inside the machine like a kettle), screw it on the mains under the sink and machine vice versa, remember and remove the three transport bolts located on the back, if you dont it will damage the drum as they hold the drum in place. put them in a safe place in case you ever move house.
The machine
It is white, simple controls with one knob and on/off switch, powder drawer, it has all the usual refinements, 30' wash, 40' wash, and the high temperature wash. It is simple to use, turn to your desired wash, press the start button!
Capacity
One of the disadvantages that we never realised at the time of purchase was that it holds 5Kg of garments, when most of the others hold 7Kg, we have a toddler so you can imagine how much of a difference it would make, I suppose it isnt a disadvantage of the machine as it would be suited to single persons, but more of a disadvantage to us for being to quick to buy.
Day to day
We have had the machine now 2 years, and it has been very reliable running a few washes daily! The quality of the wash is good all items are always fresh and smell nice! 3 weeks ago I put a wash on as normal when it started rattling on the spin cycle. it was like a banging noise, so I pulled the machine out, removed the back cover (very easy 3 screws) made sure mains was off. Immediatley I noticed alot of grey powder beneath the machine so I had a look to see if there was anything in sight, I felt the bricks that weight the drum , they were loose! so I tightened the two bolts, put the cover back on and it was fixed. If I had called out a repair man, It could have been a call out fee plus unneccessary work!
conclusions
Apart from that unfortunate incident the machine has been a "workhorse" for us, cleaning 3 peoples washing a day for 2 years (including a very messy baby!!) it is a very good machine for people on a budget like we were, although if you have alot of people in the house then I would recommend going for a bigger capacity machine.
Allround though I love my Beko it has served us well and am sure will continue to do so!!
