We brought this Freestanding Front loader washing Machine from Comet some several months ago, for approximately £200.00.
It's looks blended in perfectly with my minimumlistic approach to décor, in a clean fresh overall white colour, it fitted in just right.
After removing the three transit brackets at the rear of the machine, Installation only took minutes, not much more than a simple DIY job performed by my Husband, that'll probably be the only time he'll touch a washing machine, it did help however that the plumbing was already there from the previous washing machine, it's a cold water only feed, so only a single pipe to connect. We have a connection outlet on our sinks waste trap, where we were able to connect the water outlet pipe to with a du clip, but of course this can also be dropped into a fixed outlet pipe in the normal manner.
I now cater for a Family of 5 from trendy teenagers to my 80 year old Nan, and this machine has more than adequately handled everything they can throw at it, including very bright colours to soft delicates. I must admit, any Washing Machine we have, has to be a real Workhorse as it is never off, every single day this poor thing is switched on sometimes twice or more, and has never been a problem.
It has a maximum spin of 1200 RPM which is good enough to get even the most drenched of Jeans reasonably dry, cutting down the drying time needed, there is however other speed settings, for the more delicate of clothing.
The instruction manual was quite easy to follow, but may be a bit confusing to a novice washer, especially the Start/Pause and Cancel button, this does take a little mastering, I walked away a few times expecting my clothes to be washed, but on returning I discovered I had set it to pause, so double check.
It's not to noisy either, we have an open plan Kitchen diner and on the odd occasion the Washer has been on during meals, and is hardly noticeable.
Its load capacity is a good 5Kg, but there is also an Auto Half load function as well. It is an (A) rated washing machine, which is supposed to give maximum cleanliness to your clothes, which I would say I've got no problems there. Energy rated (A) which again according to manufactures A-Rated machines offer the highest efficiency, saving you money on electricity and detergent Spin rated (B) but I've found this quite sufficient and does a good job. Handwash and Delicates programming. Delay Timer: enabling you preset the times you want the machine to start your washing. Front Loader: with large opening door for ease of filling and emptying. Total of 44 Wash programmes: Examples include Economy wash, Silk wash, Light load and Hand wash. Dimensions (H x W x D) in mm 850 x 595 x 540 Weight (Kg) 68.
Overall view, an excellent Washing Machine and good value for money, and on its performance so far, I highly recommend it.
