... Good idea Beko. Simple but life-changing.
The control dial lets you select a wide range of the usual washes by fabric and temperature as well as having a handwash setting. There is also an energy saving setting for light loads and soiling. The word soiling makes me think of poo-poo but ... Read review
Advantages: Cheap. Eergy efficient. Silver Disadvantages: shakes a bit when it spins
If you had read the review of my last washing machine you will remember that it was total rubbish. It is now literally rubbish and lies forlorn in the back yard. I bits. I had to dismantle it ti make it light enough to get in the boot before its final trip to the tip in the Zafira Hearse. As a final act of defiance, it is making our yard look like a gypsy camp with the drum lying alongside the wire-strewn cabinet and concrete blocks. Still, I hated ... ...and causes corrosion. God I have a mean streak.
The replacement, due to lack of funds is about as cheap as you can get. £170, cold-water intake only and a mingy 1000rpm spin. BUT AT LEAST IT WORKS!!! The washing smells nice and the handle is still attached. And it's silver too. Cheap is good.

Still, I hated the bugger so I hope it tips down on it and causes corrosion. God I have a mean streak.

It arrived ******** Wrapped in clingfilm, like a huge packed lunch. I was warned to remove the holding bolts that stop the drum rattling around in transit or the whole thing would disintegrate the first time it was started. I thought this might be fun but resisted the temptation. It was then a case of screwing on the water-pipe thingy (cold inlet only), shoving the waste-pipe thingy down the wotsit and plugging it in. It took 5 minutes before we had a wash on!
The controls ********** Start button, pre-wash, extra rinse and a start/pause/cancel. Nothing too hard there. I guess the pause button is there because if the phone rang when you were watching the washing going round at a really interesting bit and you didn't want to miss it, you could pause it and come back to it later. Good idea Beko. Simple but life-changing.
The control dial lets you select a wide range of the usual washes by fabric and temperature as well as having a handwash setting. There is also an energy saving setting for light loads and soiling. The word soiling makes me think of poo-poo but thats because I'm childish.
Instructions ********** The instruction manual is clear and easy to understand. Probably. I'm a man so I haven't read it. Well, that's a slight lie. I had a peek (to my shame) just to check what something meant and it said things like Start Press the on/off button. And I thought bugger that and pressed the buttons till it did what I wanted.
The results ********* My wife has been moaning for ages because she is awake. No. Not really. Because the washing stinks. Now I think -my feet reek, go figure- but she hasn't twigged so the washing machine has been getting what for. She was made up at the delicious aroma emanating from the washing this evening. Positively purring. In my mind, this washing machine could lead to sex. I'm very shallow.
The spin cycle was pretty quiet but I did notice the machine shaking quite a lot and I was worried at one point it might escape and attack a child. Specifically the naughty little 4 year old I'd strapped to the floor in front of it. Unfortunately the spin stopped before this happened but I will try again tomorrow.
I suppose the measly 1000rpm would be less vociferous and so it proved to be. I did think it was quite long though and the clothes came out as dry as the last 1500rpm we had
The clothes came out clean but, hey, what do you expect really. We have a terrible habit of overloading the drum with football kits and er....boots. This will be the real test. I'll update and let you know.
Our children's heritage and the future of the planet **************************************** It has an energy rating of 'A'. This is good
Overall ****** Well, it's early days but this seems to be a really good machine. Quiet. Energy efficient. Doesn't leave your washing smelling of sewer. It could prove to be bargain of the century if it carries on like this.
Having just moved out of home and in with my boyfriend, into a semi-furnished house I now have plenty to review!!! YAY!!! When we moved into our tiny new house there was a washing machine however it was older than both of us put together and it didn't take long to pack up. We contacted our land-lady who promptly bought us a new one and had it delivered early one morning. As with everything nowadays it arrived covered in plastic and cardboard which ... ...annoying. Anyway, that aside and my recycling sufficiently topped up for the week, the washing machine was fitted with little difficulty. The delivery driver was very helpful, removing the old machine and taking that with him along with subsequently and quickly fitting the new one. I am sad to say that this was not purchased from a large national company, as I think everyone should have this sort of service, however the service we received was very ...

Advantages: washes well, durable, price, range of programmes, easy to use, has door lock Disadvantages: it's perfect
...around at 1000 rpm, the Beko WMA 510 has never let me down over the 2 years it has sat in my kitchen steadily working its way through the huge amounts of washing we produce on a weekly basis. First bought for £199.99 from Comet it is now much cheaper on their website at £169.99 and based on both prices it is affordable for most and well worth the price due to how easy it is to use, the wide range of wash settings and large drum.
Fitting was simple ... ...on.
I would recommend the Beko WMA 510 for its wash results, affordable price, low noise levels and range of programme settings. After 2 years it is going strong and we haven't needed to call out an engineer to fix any problems making it a hassle free washing machine. ...

Advantages: Simple, cheap, reliable. Disadvantages: Not the most stylish, some parts could be more robust. (minor gripe).
We have had the Beko washing machine for a good few years now and its been around so long that I am not even sure I can remember exactly how long that is. At least 3 years maybe more. It hasn't been without it's problems but I'll come to that issue later.
Lets start with the design of the machine...
Our's is white and lets be honest, does the colour really matter, I think a silver one was on offer when we ordered ours from one of the generic barn ... ...If I remember rightly it was another 20 of your English pounds so we went for the white one. It's still white now after several years of use and having food dribbled down it from the kitchen top, wiped clean everytime and no discolouration so far. The machine is a simple design, none of this Dysonesk funky plastics or the slightly weirdness of the Moon machine, whoever makes that. A simple draw which feels a little flimsy but does its job well enough, ...

Advantages: Reasonably priced Disadvantages: Noisy in use
The product was purchased 6 months ago and although it is used nearly everyday it has washed clothes well. One or two things have come to light since it was purchased, after a few months it became very noisy when it reached the pump out and spin cycle. The merchant who supplied the machine sent an engineer to rectify this and although the pump was changed the noise persisted. The engineer told us this was perfectly normal but we find it very irritating ...

Advantages: Good energy efficiency Disadvantages: doesnt have a big brand badge (if that worries you)
...old machine was removed. The Beko was easily set level using a spirit lelel and the adjustable feet (this prevents tem wandering across the floor during spin cycles) THe machine has now been in service for 4 months without problem, its used once a day and still as quiet as the day we bought it. We were concerned that a cheaper machine would be noisey but it isnt. I would have no problems in recommending this machine to anyone whos after a no nonsense, ...
