The review below pertains to the 1000:1 contrast, 8ms *new* version of the Belinea1019 20, not the older 600:1 25ms one whose spec is listed above.
Since LCD screens flooded in to dominate the monitor market, I've remained a steadfast CRT fan and LCD skeptic . LCD monitors I'd seen in shops were too contrasty, with shadows that went quickly to black and screens that changed colour and contrast dramatically depending on the viewing angle. Even when sat right in front of LCD monitors that I'd used, I'd noticed that a shift of my head or of position could alter the brightness and contrast of the picture. Not the best, then, for the viewing and post processing of photographs, which is what my monitor is used for mostly.
However, when I needed a new monitor, and I was faced with the fact that there were hardly any CRTs left ...

with an original DC01?
To start with, they work every bit as well now, as they always did
Yes they have the annoying habit of having the exhaust airflow pointing forwards, so if you are trying to suck up something light, like dust or feathers, you have to draw the cleaner backwards over the floor instead of pushing it forwards, otherwise you end up in a blizzard!
My solution to this is to tape a piece of card to the front of the cleaner which forces the airflow upwards, much to the amusement of my children, and ridicule of my wife, but that's a small price to pay.
Part of the reason for their longevity is the cleaners are practically indestructible, there's only three moving parts; the motor, the belt and the brush assembly.
If your motor burns out, there isn't a lot you can do, you require special tools to get inside the housing ...

Advantages: Portability, quality, style, etc etc! Love It. Disadvantages: Battery does make unit tilt backwards a bit (but not really a negative!)
I have owned this fantastic netbook for 9 months now and I take it with me everywhere. I absolutely love it! I bought it solely for internet access as I like the odd bet when I'm out and about (!) so I can only really comment on this type of usage. Where shall I begin. Well the NC10 looks gorgeous, mine is the glossy black colour and it opens up to a more than generous keyboard which is brilliant for those emails and the keys are perfectly responsive. Then there is the large 10" screen with fabulous brightness and clarity. Perfect size. Bought a nice protective pouch to keep the unit in and then just pick up and go! Battery life is outstanding. I get easily six hours internet access on one charge. The other great point is that the NC10 only takes a minute to boot up and then you're online! BRILLIANT product. LOVE IT! My favourite ...
