Belinea 1925 S1W

Advantages: Very attractive appearance, slimline, smart and good quality
Disadvantages: Some people prefer chunky monitors, and if this is you, then this isn't the right choice

...I was given this monitor by my parents after my previous monitor (of dubious company and origin) exploded one day... As you can imagine, I was desperate to get another monitor quickly, and so made this choice as soon as I could. It was definitely the right one- this monitor is perfect for me. I have little desk space so its compact size and shape is perfect, it's light and easy to move and adjust, and the silver edging looks very smart and stylish. I was a little uncertain about purchasing a Belinea monitor- I'd never bought anything from, or heard much about, this company before. But despite not being as prestigious as a brand like Sony, this little monitor is wonderful. Advantages: Not Expensive
Disadvantages: Re-fresh rate is not very high

...I have bought several Belinea monitors and have been fairly impressed. The screen is very clear for a budget model. The monitor controls are on-screen and they are a little confusing at first, but you soon get used to them. Everything you need is only a couple of presses away. The main problem I had, and it’s inexcusable really – is that the manufacturer doesn’t supply a Windows driver disc to install the monitor. I had to download on from the Internet. I have noticed that these monitors are prone to flicker more than others that I have used. This may not be the general case though, so read other people’s views on this. Overall they are very good value and reliable. They also include a three-year on-site warranty, which shows how reliable the manufactures think the product is.... Read review

Advantages: Superb Picture - Well Made - Looks Gorgeous
Disadvantages: Heavy!

..., the look of the unit, made me willing enough to look further. To my astonishment, the spec really stacked up against the Cinema displays and on closer inspection actually performs better. While the 102035W only matches the 1680 x 1050 optimal resolution of the Cinema display, it betters it in every other important detail! Take a look: Apple Cinema Display: Contrast Ratio: 400:1 Response Time: 16ms Brightness: 270cd/m2 USB: 2-port Hub Belinea 102035W: Contrast Ratio: 800:1 Response Time: 8ms Brightness: 300cd/m2 USB: 4-port Hub I paid a little over £300 for each of the Belinea monitors, whereas the Cinema Displays would have set me back £570 each!
