I bought this router from PC World for £29.99 about 3 months ago. (I also bought a new computer from PC World - so the manager used her discretion and reduced it from £44.99)
When I first plugged it up to the computer, I found that I could use my laptop wirelessly. It was top of the range and has a 2.4Ghz processing speed. I was enjoying wireless broadband connection, until, suddenly, the internet on both the host computer and my laptop went dead.
Well, I was baffled! I tried to unintall it, reinstall it, change the internet connection, and try and re-configure it. I couldn't and decided to phone thier helpline. I cannot complain about the customer service. They knew exactly what to do to solve the situation, however this was not a long term solution, as I found out later!
A strange program was loaded, and I could modify the details. It worked - I couldn't believe my eyes!!! About three days later the problem persisted yet again.
For the connection of four computers to the same router, this is perfect, as it has the four slots for ethernet cables in the back. Now, I just don't bother with it. It is sat on the top of my computer, unplugged - I found it easier just to plug the broadband back into my main PC, and use that for the internet. AAAAArgh!!!!

This is a confused review and as such it is of no value.
The device shown here is not a router; it is a wireless ethernet adapter. Yet the review reads like it is reviewing a wirless ADSL modem router. Make up your mind!
I have installed several of these adapters and they work pretty well.
No wireless kit for the consumer market is close to 100% reliable and wireless in the home is typically twitchy. However, these units from Belkin, and the ADSL wireless routers that Belkin produce, are good value for money. This is saying something, because I am not a huge fan of Belkin.
