We have 3 laptops at home and they all connect to our network wirelessly. if we wanted to print anything we had to physically hook up to a printer which more often than not was most inconvenient.

The Belkin Wireless GUSB Print Server allows up to 2 USB printers to be connected. (you cannot add more printers via a USB hub.) Though it's a wireless print server it still comes with an Ethernet Cable so you can physically connect it to your router. If you choose this method of connection then the wireless function is automatically disabled.

Before you can use a printer via the print server you need to physically install it on each computer you are planning to access it from. (You do not set it as a shared printer.) When you've done that, you disconnect it from your computer and connect it to the print server. You then need to install the Print Server software from the disc provided onto each computer that will be accessing printers via the print server. It's called Easy Installation Wizard and it is accurately named.

You can set up security on your wireless print server. If you do then your security key needs to be exactly the same as the security key of your wireless router or it just won't work.

In the past, when I've woken up in the middle of the night and wanted to print something I've had to wait while a more decent hour so the old and clunky printer doesn't wake the house and neighbours up. Now though... we have the printers in the back room so she can clunk to her hearts content and everyone still gets their beauty sleep.
