I dont have a 20 channelreceiver however I do have a 12channelreceiver which came in the box with my Tom Tom Navigator 5 for PDA, whichi I use in my Treo 680 Smart Phone. The whole thing works perfectly and I couldn't ask for more as Sat Nav goes.
The GPS receiver looks identical to the 20 channel one shown here and if this one works as well as mine does then you can't go wrong.
It has a matt cover which makes it stay put where ever you place it on the dashboard and in use I've found that it picks up a signal very quickly and once linked to the PDA by bluetooth it keeps the signal so long as it can see just a tiny bit of sky. Once linked I take the unit off the dash and place it on the floor of the car in between the seats and it keeps the signal through motorway tunnels and even during a traffice halt under a bridge! It does link ...

your position.
After failing to be impressed by this Compact flash GPSreceiver, I was beginning to loose faith with the whole concept, but thought that I would give one last punt at buying a Bluetooth connecting GPS receiver off Ebay, which praised itself at being all singing and dancing with incredible battery life and super connection speeds. It proved to be just that.
External Features
The receiver itself is a black rectangular box shaped device with 3 LED lights on the top, one orange which flashes once a GPS signal has been achieved, one blue which signals a bluetooth connection to an external device, and one further light to indicate low battery life remaining. It also has a USB connection input for connection to computers without Bluetooth and is also the charging connector. The base of the device has two rubber sections ...
Advantages: Tiny, appealling, accurate, powerful and desirable. Disadvantages: Rubber cover for DC power supply breaks off easily.
when you don't. Not the most logical, but it is OK once you appreciate that!
I'm not going to cover the Bluetooth connection aspect of this device, because that is really governed by whatever device you want to connect to. What I will say, is that this device is more versatile than my original iPAQ device, because it is connecting via Bluetooth. So you can connect it to your PDA, laptop, desktop, smartphone, or whatever other device you have that processes GPS signals, and possesses Bluetooth. But, it seems that it can only connect to one device at a time.
OK. As far as reception of GPS signals go, this is an absolute beauty. It tracks 12GPS signals, rather than the new claim of 16 signals that I have seen (and am sceptical of). It tracks those 12GPS signals like a bloodhound!!
I am able to use this GPS receiver indoors - which ...

The Bluetooth GPS Receiver from Belkin offers a high-performance, easy-to-use link to the global positioning system in a compact, mobile design. The Receiver shows your position in real time on street-level maps and moves with you as you travel, so you can view your current location in relation to your destination. The included software indicates your speed, direction of travel, elevation, latitude, and longitude within 10 meters. Install Belkin's navigation software on your Pocket PC, Tablet PC, or Bluetooth notebook to find your way through any city in Western Europe, and quickly identify your current position as well as a destination or point of interest.
