The reason why I bought this adapter was to connect my phone to my laptop and PC.
<<*What it Does*>> This small and sleek adapter enables you to connect 2 or more bluetooth devices to each other wirelessly. This includes devices such as Mobile Phones and PDA's.
I have connected both my Samsung D500 and Sony Ericsson W800i to my Laptop all at the same time. The coverage distance for this particular device is 10 metres therefore it makes it easy to pick up the bluetooth signals easily, although a much stronger 100m adapter is also available at a dearer price.
If you install this product to your laptop and make a connection to your mobile phone you will be able to transfer various different items to it such as Music tracks, videos, pics/images, documents, applications, etc, at a very reasonable speed. if you have 2 phone like me then connecting them both together allows you to easily send media to both your phones easily instead of disconnecting one and connecting the other.
If you have 2 of these adapters and you connect one to your PC and the other to your laptop it will allow you to make a wireless connection between them both. This is an excellent feature as it will allow you to transfer data from your PC to your Laptop or vice versa wirelessly, although the speed of transfer is slow.
Also having a connection between your PC and Laptop will also allow you to share the internet connection, It requires a bit of fiddling around with your network settings but is quite useful for accessing the internet on your laptop. For this kind of connection I recommend you have the 100m adapter as it will give you more coverage.
<<*Ease of Use*>> Installation is simple and quick. The package comes with the adapter, Installation CD and a instruction book.
If you are applying this adapter to an XP machine then it wont even need to be installed with the CD as the built in bluetooth drivers will detect it. This is what I did at first. Although for best results install the software.
When the device is connected to you PC/Laptop it will show a Bluetooth Monitoring icon in your task bar to show its connected. the adapter has a Blue LED light which will turn on when the device is connected and is ready for use.
The transferring of media to a mobile phone/ PDA is simple. If you've installed the software then all you need to do is right-click the file on your PC/Laptop(eg a music track) and from the menu select the Bluetooth device from the list to send to. its that easy. When the media is transferring it will show also show a progress bar.
Connecting the PC to a Laptop with this adapter is something I haven't done but a friend of mine has and he says the instruction for connecting it are easy and can be found on the internet.

...and decided to buy the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter, this was a last ditch effort on my part, and in truth this was still the cheapest option I could think of, the other choice was upgrade the pc. I also chose the Belkin one as I have other Belkin products from them that are attached to my PC and all work fine and I had no problems installing them.
So after a short trip to Argos and spending of £15.99 I returned home with my new toy. Thankfully ... ...you what that looked like, although it was in a small plastic Argos carrier bag. The way I work with new things is, make cup of coffee, then read all the instructions thoroughly before proceeding. The instructions were very minimal but I did note DO NOT INSERT BLUETOOTH ADAPTER UNTIL PROMPTED. For those of you who do decide to get one of these for yourselves please do take note of the above warning. I thought I did it correctly but mucked up along ...

The Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter is very useful technology which you simply plug into your USB slot. I actually got this about 2 years ago because I wanted to transfer photos and videos from my mobile phone to my PC and I didn't have a mobile phone cable to connect to the PC. So this was ideal rather than purchasing a cable which would have cost the same, but with this I can use it for other Bluetooth enabled devices such as my PDA or Laptop.
Main ... ...software update located on the Belkin website and that will fix the issue. Though the new adapters may already have the updated software as I bought this 2 years ago. I thought id mention it just encase you manage to purchase it second hand or get the same version as mine.
Overall the Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter is a useful device for transferring data from other Bluetooth enabled devices. Such as I do with my mobile phone, PDA and laptop. I got ...

...I found the software that Belkin provided uneccessary and inferior to the drivers already included with Windows XP. You should find that the windows Bluetooth icon appears in the system tray when you connect the device, and basic functionality is provided from here.
Most mobile phones are provided with a software CD that include the necessary software for transferring files, songs and pictures to and from your phone. If you've lost it, this software ... ...but this is rarely an issue for the way that I use it. I suspect that this is because the devices with which I use this adapter can't broadcast over 100m, but you may as well save yourself some money and buy the shorter-range version of this Belkin product. ...

I love my music and wanted some songs on my mobile phones mp3 player but didn't know how to do it, my partner came with the Bluetooth USB adapter for my pc. Now I thought using this would difficult to use but I have to say it wasn't.
What it does
With Bluetooth it allows you to connect to your pc or any phone that has Bluetooth availability, the Bluetooth adapter allows you to have a wireless free mouse and keyboard and just about any other Bluetooth ... ...you need to connect to which means less wires!! There is a down side but I will come to this later.
This small little device plugs into a USB port on your PC or laptop and it will also plug into a USB hub, the Bluetooth adaptor once paired with your phone or another computer lets you transfer pictures, music and written files from one device to the other very quickly.

Hi guys! Well, this basically does what it says in the name. You can connect to your USB printer wirelessly from your PDA, laptop, phone (or PC if you really want). Ive had no major problems with it, but sometimes my laptop fails to recognize the adapter which tends to annoy me quite a bit ,especially if im running quite late and need to print off some last minute documents. Its a really great help to me, as i work abroad a lot and its a breeze to use with any printer. you don't even have to install it to use it! Just plug in and print! Overall, its a really helpful device, but i have to say, only buy it if you print out a lot of stuff, and work in an office or abroad for example.
