The Belkin bluetooth USB adapter is a must have if you have a bluetooth enabled phone that you regularly link up to a computer in order to transfer files. Instead of the use of unsightly cables to link up your bluetooth enabled products to the computer, this enables you to link them up through a wireless bluetooth connection. The Belkin bluetooth USB adapter is small enough to be placed in a rear USB port of a computer and left there so that it is ready to use whenever you require it. The transfer sending speed is quite fast however depending on the recieving speed of the bluetooth enabled products that you use this with, the speed may be a little slower. This is not the fault of the Belkin bluetooth USB adapter but rather the product recieving the signal as it is harder to recieve bluetooth signals then send them. The recieving speed is pretty fast but again depends on the other bluetooth products sending speed. When pairing a bluetooth enabled device up to the computer the Belkin bluetooth USB adapter will ask you to set a password in order to allow the device to access. This prevents unwanted access to your pc by devices that you do not own. A great advantage is that this can be left to send files in the background without holding the computer up so much that it is impossible to use. There are two different reanges that the Belkin bluetooth USB adapter is available in, 10 metres and 100 metres. Personally i have the 10 metre one so my review is based on that but i would imagine that the 100 metre spec is not much different.
