Belkin PRO Series audio cable - 1.5 m

...up to it with a Belkin VGA cable. This was great, until I found out that I didn't actually have a speaker cable. This meant that I had a really great picture on a huge screen but no sound. As you could probably imagine I was just a little bit peeved at this so I searched all around my house and found that I didn't have a audio cable free to use on the computer (I was using a monitor with a built in audio cable so I never had any need for one before) ...

It has no bells or whistles, it just does its job. Its 1.5 metres long so its long enough for what I need but they could have made it a little longer just to give you the option of being able to have more room between the 2 connecting objects. It cost a very reasonable £3.00 so I wasn't complaining ... more

As you might know if you have read my previous review today, I have just got the best present ever for my 21st, a huge 42" HD TV and I have my computer hooked up to it with a Belkin VGA cable. This was great, until I found out that I didn't actually have a speaker cable. This meant that I had a really great picture on a huge screen but no sound. As you could probably imagine I was just a little bit peeved at this so I searched all around my house and found that I didn't have a audio cable free to use on the computer (I was using a monitor with a built in audio cable so I never had any need for one before) So after a couple of hours of mad searching I decided to go out and buy one because its no fun having 1000's of songs on your computer but nothing to play them through.

I went out to the same shop I went to for my VGA cable (they must have a thing about Belkin there lol) and bought this audio cable. All I needed was a simple cable with a male connector on each end, and that's all I got. It has no bells or whistles, it just does its job. Its 1.5 metres long so its long enough for what I need but they could have made it a little longer just to give you the option of being able to have more room between the 2 connecting objects. It cost a very reasonable £3.00 so I wasn't complaining at all.

This cable will connect anything that has a standard audio jack. So if you have a set of speakers and want to connect them to anything (ipod, CD player, Computer etc.) these will do the job.

The male connectors are gold plated, this is because gold is just about the best conductor of electricity out there. This means that you will be getting the best possible single going down the cable so there should be absolutely no distortion coming out of the speakers.

I would really recommend this cable, again because Belkin is one of the leading manufacturers of cables and computer goods and they are a very reasonable price and they do their job perfectly.
