After my girl friend got the back of her car smashed in to by some stupid guy she had to change cars. Luckily she got a car for free from a friend of her family, unluckily this car is about 15 years old lol. We both have MP3 players and love to listen to music when we drive but this new car only had a cassette player so we were both a bit disappointed.
On a trip to our local halfords i decided that i was sick of listening to old recordings of early 90's "music" and got her the Belkin MP3 cassette thingy in the hopes that we could finally listen to some good music.
There are some very good things about this product and some not so good things as well. The good points are its a hell of a lot cheaper than getting a new CD player for the car. It also means that you can listen to 10000's of songs that you have on your MP3 player (or if you don't have an MP3 player it will work exactly the same for a CD player as well) It also has a nice long cable with it (i think its just over a metre) so you can put what ever you plug it into just about anywhere in the front of the car.
Now for some of the bad points about it. I'm not sure if this is just my girlfriends tape player but some times when you have the cassette in the cassette player it tries to switch sides and cuts out the music, this is very annoying because it can do this 10 or so times before it besides that it wants to play again. It is also a little bit flimsy, i sat on it one day and it got a little crack in it lol.
The sound quality can vary from car to car because if you have really bad speakers in one car then the music will sound bad from them as well.
Over all this is a very cheap way to listen to alot of high quality music from your mp3 player in a car with only a cassette player and i would recommend it to others.
