Advantages: compact, good front-panel display, wall-mountable Disadvantages: temperamental web interface, lots of virtual knobs, bells and whistles
...casing that has wall-mount holes, and claims to push super-fast wireless networking to a radius of 425m from the unit. And it comes with a Manufacturers Lifetime Warranty (sic).
Here's how I managed to get it going to accommodate my need to work from a room at the very opposite end of the house from where the ADSL connection was installed...
What you get for your money
-----------------------------------------
The silver-toppedBelkin box looks attractive, with HIGH performance being the most obvious feature on the front. One side-panel gives you three easy steps to get you started - 1. Connect; 2. Configure; 3. Set Up. The other side-panel shows the technical specs, and the back panel explains clearly what's in the box, what it does and the way the unit communicates to you in blue (or amber if something's amiss!) icons what's happening...

Advantages: small, no power supply needed Disadvantages: very old hat, will not work with all printers, bad instructions
...I bought this item because I wanted to link my printer to a laptop (using a wireless print server) and my desk top (by cable). What was NOT made clear by the supplier (in fact any supplier on the net offering this product as far as I can see) is that this switch is as good as obsolete. ...of a generous length allowing some room to manoeuvre on PC placement.
Features

Switching between PCs is done via an easily remembered keyboard sequence. I would however have like to have had a manual button on the device itself in case the keystroke sequence interfered with anything. Also, if the current PC locks up, you can't switch to the other without rebooting the locked one which can be a pain - again, a manual switch would help here.
The top of the Belkin features a pair of LEDs to show which PC is currently selected.
If you need to keep an eye on both PCs, you can enable autoscan mode which toggles back and forth between the PCs every eight seconds. A quick press of the space bar stops autoscanning and lets you...
