Advantages: good brand, lifetime guarantee, easy to install, good customer support Disadvantages: not universally compatible, more hassle than usb adaptors, poor signal
...I bought this network card along with the belkin wireless g router .
Installation was easy enough and the instructions were clear and straightforward.
As the card is situated in the pc itself it is discreetly out of the way.
The card has a lifetime guarantee and so there are no issues with replacement due to failure.
I found this adapter to be quite unreliable with frequent breaks in the signal occuring. The signal strength was also not that good the majority of the time.
The price was below average next to the competition and so this product seems value for money.
This item isnt universally compatible as I found out when I went from NTL to BT for my broadband supply.
Despite the card pickin up a signal, this adapter simply wouldnt work with a BT home hub and so I purchased a usb connection adapter instead which worked fine...

Advantages: compact, good front-panel display, wall-mountable Disadvantages: temperamental web interface, lots of virtual knobs, bells and whistles
...Bring the Internet into the comfort of your own home.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- --
After a few years of daily accessing the Internet from home, you begin to realise how much that corner of a dark room where the telephone-line enters your home really isn't the best place to sit doing it...

Why not bring it to you, be where you want to be and make it follow you?

Advantages: Great wireless range, Futureproof, Nice looking, Fast! Disadvantages: Some may say it looks a little chunky
...The Belkin first struck me as a bit odd, really. Alongside it in the local PC shop were simpleton designs from companies such as 3COM and DLink for £80-£90, then there was the lovely-looking and future-proof Belkin for £69. Confused? So was I.
Anyway, as you would expect, I took the Belkin to it's new home on a dusty shelf in my room. It was a simple case of Plug and Play really (Not Plug and Pray as with so many other routers). Within 5 minutes of opening the box I was happily browsing the Web, with the router sat happily flashing it's little lights at me from accross the room.
And thats it really - To this day the router lives - and I have had it for 9 months and counting. Not ONE other router has made it past the 3 month mark (I don't know why either).
I have a home-based Web server, and the Belkin makes light work of forwarding...
