Since I'm still a poor penniless student i was over the moon when my mam got me a 42" HD TV for an early birthday present. When it finally got delivered I was going crazy thinking about all the possibilities of things I could do with it, when I turned it around i saw a familiar little port. It was a VGA port, the port that is on the back of my computer that connects it to my monitor. So I decided that I would be daring and have a 42" monitor for my computer monitor.
I needed to go away and get a VGA cable to hook it up and that's what I did. Since I have alot of things around my TV (lots of computers things and electricity) I didnt want any sort of crosstalk (disturbance on the cable from other electrical devices- its quite rare now but not unheard of) I made sure that i got a double shielded wire, the best one of these that i could find was the Belkin PRO series. This basically means that it has 2x the amount of protective sheath around the cable so that nothing can get through and distort the signal. Belkin are one of the leaders in computer products, they make everything from routers to cables and I have a few of their products and they have never gone wrong for me, so I trust them and their products. I went to my local computer shop and got this cable for the very reasonable price of £3.50.
Since this is just a cable there isn't much I can write about it. You plug it into the computer and then into the back of your TV or monitor and it works, there's nothing else too it. It has a male connector on each end (it has lots of pins on it) and this plugs into a female connector (has lots of holes in it that the pins go in) Each end has 2 screws on it so that i can be totally connected to each device, this means that there is absolutely no chance of it coming out of each device. Its easy to screw in and out. Its also a 5 metre cable as well this means that you don't have to have your computer near your TV or monitor, you can have it quite a distance away which is very handy for people that don't have much room near the TV or monitor.
As long as you have one of these connection on your computer I really recommend that you get one of these cables and connect it to your computer. It means that you can use your computer on the biggest screen you have ever seen. Its great for games, movies or even if you just want to type a really big letter lol.

Like you say, not much to say about a cable and you did a good job of it. x

would your mum like to adopt me and buy me a big TV? Sounds like a good cable though - one of those things you can't skimp on.

Belkin make some great gear, cables and protection for electrical equip. Sounds like you bought one of the best cables out there for your 42" -does that mean you're now viewing the internet and this Ciao on a 42" set? Wow! -CH
