Manufacturer's product description
The Belkin Wireless G Plus Desktop Card connects your desktop computer to your wireless network. With a Belkin Wireless G Plus Router as the central connection point of your network, your computers can share your high-speed Internet connection as well as files, printers, and hard drives. By achieving networking speeds that are faster than standard 802.11g, the Wireless G Desktop Card provides increased "real world" networking speeds. This means you will see overall speed improvements in "mixed mode" networking environments where other 802.11g devices may be present. Wireless G Plus offers even faster speeds in pure G Plus networking environments. Wireless G Plus technology is interoperable with all other wireless devices.
Manufacturer warranty
Service & Support: Limited lifetime warranty
Service & Support Details: Limited warranty - lifetime
Advantages: good brand, lifetime guarantee, easy to install, good customer support Disadvantages: not universally compatible, more hassle than usb adaptors, poor signal
...I bought this networkcard along with the belkinwirelessg router .
Installation was easy enough and the instructions were clear and straightforward.
As the card is situated in the pc itself it is discreetly out of the way.
The card has a lifetime guarantee and so there are no issues with replacement due to failure.
I found this adapter to be quite unreliable with frequent breaks in the signal occuring. The signal strength was also not that good the majority of the time.
The price was below average next to the competition and so this product seems value for money.
This item isnt universally compatible as I found out when I went from NTL to BT for my broadband supply.
Despite the card pickin up a signal, this adapter simply wouldnt work with a BT home hub and so I purchased a usb connection adapter instead which worked fine...

...The BelkinWireless Notebook Card is a good product. the card is only for LAPTOPS not for computers. the good thing about this product is that just say your in your bedroom or in your kitcen or maybe in your garden you can use the internet without any wires and no hassle at all. but you have to remember you need to have a belkinwireless internet network to make this product work for your laptop. I have my very own BelkinWirelessG Notebook card and it runs as fast as when i use to have an ethernet connection i.e. cable internet connection. When i bought my newtwork card it cost me £25.00 but on ciao they are giving you a really good price for it so i recommend buying the product. if you have any questions please let me know and i will be at assistance
Hope I Was Useful

...This router is quite compact compared to some and quite attractive in comparison also.
reasonably priced in comparison to the competition and offering a lifetime guarantee that most competitors do not.
Used this product on NTL broadband with the Belkinwirelessgdesktopcardadapter.
The installation was quick and painless and the instructions simple and clear.
The signal strength was frequently poor with the connection running slow the majority of the time
The connection was also very unstable with frequent periods where the connection was lost or broken. Im not sure if this was down to the card the router or a combination of both.
The box states that this is a high speed router but I found it to be slow and quite a lot of trouble with an unreliable connection being sent/picked up.
I would recommend going for a higher spec...

I bought this router from PC World for £29.99 about 3 months ago. (I also bought a new computer from PC World - so the manager used her discretion and reduced it from £44.99)
When I first plugged it up to the computer, I found that I could use my... more

I wish I'd read the reviews of this product before I bought, I usually do when purchasing new computer components but for some reason didn't this time... More fool me.
Firstly it looks cool, if a little on the large more
So here I go again with another review of a technological product which in today’s ever evolving world will no longer be needed, as every laptop made now seems to have built-in Wi-Fi capability. However if like me you paid a substantial amount of money... more
