If you haven't already guessed, I like to read. That's why most of the reviews I read and write are book related. I very rarely read a book more than once so I always mark that bit low.

A wireless network has recently been installed where I live and I was unable to connect to it using my Belkin F5D7000, without moving my PC into the middle of the room. I read up on how to improve network connection and the Belkin F5D6900 seemed like a reasonable option.
The Belkin F5D6900 is a small omni-directional antenna that comes fitted to a base, so it sits on your desk, and a 1 metre length of cable. Installing it is simplicity itself, as you only have to unscrew the antenna fitted to your network card and screw on the free end of the cable. It is then just a case of trial and error to find the best place to put the antenna. I was amazed to see how much difference the signal strength is affected by the positioning, considering the cable is only 1 metre long.
At the moment I have only got 42% signal strength but the nearest router is 20m away and has to come through 1 brick wall and 2 internal walls. Considering I couldn't even pick up the network where my PC is, I suppose that's not too bad. It has also saved me rearranging the furniture in my room to get a connection.
So, if you are having a problem with a network connection this may be the answer for you. The fact that you're reading this, is proof it works.

I was looking into these for my Belkin router (I get a great signal except for 1 poor spot) but noticed that my Pre-N router doesn't seem to have a 'port' for an aerial hehe - guess that solves that problem :-)
