Advantages: Good cable, Disadvantages: Quite pricey
...Network cables are maybe not the first thing you think of when considering a network but they should be.
You can have a super fast router but if your cable isnt up to it, then why bother. Belkin are the standard setters in the network cable world. If you want top quality then you buy belkin. So if your considering sharing an internet connection to play games etc then you really need decent cable.
However, if like me you only share your connection for browsing and downloading, then you don't really need this kind of high quality cable. I personally have cable running that I bought for £2.14 for a 15mcable (that includes the connectors on the end). For internet browsing etc this is fine.
In conclusion, if you need speed and low ping times then belkin is the way to go. You can even use the snagless cable to allow easier running...

...Reliable and easy to use cable - a must for anyone making a home network or even a business network. Although Belkin have released a few inferior products in the past, this cable brings thenm right back up again.
Category 5 cable such as this is the highest-quality UTP Cable. It is tested at 100MHz, allowing it to run high-speed protocols such as 100Mbps Ethernet and CDDI. Category 5 Cable also uses either 22 or 24 AWG unshielded twisted-pair wire and impedance of 100ohms.
It connects with RJ45 connectors (avaiable cheaply)
RJ-45 connectors look a bit like a standard phone connector but are twice as wide (with eight wires). RJ-45s are used for hooking up computers to local area Networks (LANs) or for phones with lots of lines....

Advantages: Durable; Brand name; Reliable Disadvantages: Relatively expensive; Overkill for a 56k connection
...Cables are heavily underrated. Everyone always thinks their computer will run faster if they upgrade their hardware or OS, but the humble cable almost always gets ignored. So, Belkin came up with this 'highspeed' premium cable to help convince people that they need a new cable to make their lives complete, or rather, make their internet connection 'as fast as a speeding bullet'.
The InternetModemcable, unsurprisingly, is used to connect your modem, be it internal or external, to your standard BT wall outlet. On one end you have the typical RJ-11 plug, and on the other, a BT plug has already been connected. This means you don't have to go out and buy any converters. The RJ-11 plug is of similar style to some of Belkin's RJ-45 plugs, with tabs protruding up the sides to prevent you from accidentally disconnecting the plug from its jack...

What it does:- connects your ADSL connection to an internal network using either cables or wireless. The MIMO and N1 designations show that its at the bleeding edge of wireless standards so its one of the first wireless routers that is (theoretically)... more
