...This is just budget cable I use for connecting my mp3 player to my home hi-fi setup, I also use this cable for connecting my laptop to my hi fi. It is basically a mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm - male on the one end - plugs into your headphone socket in your laptop for instance, and on the other end has 2 x RCA - male connectors, which plug into a normal Hi-fi around the back, left and right channel. This is a standard connection on both ends, nothing special, but works well everytime.
The cable is 5m long, made from the usual black plastic, with rubberised ends to stop the cable from snapping and degrading on the pressure points, the cable I have takes a lot of abuse on the ends and has been reliable for a long time.
Sound quality is pretty good, plenty good enough for most audio poeple, but not going to be good enough for when you have...

Advantages: Good sound Disadvantages: Nothing spectacular
...Cable is very important when setting up your hifi system, you should always budget at least 10% of the cost of all your hifi cost to spend on cables, without decent quality cables the performace of your system can dramatically suffer. This cable is 16 gauge, the lower the number the thicker the cable, the thicker cable the better. This is made from oxygen free copper of 99.99% purity - as good as it gets with this size of cable. This cable is pretty good value, when I bought this cable last year, it was £20 for the 30 metres. The cable is more than good enough for most standard hifi sytems, but if your speakers allow to be bi wired ( having 2 cables per speaker) it is best to use dedicated bi-wire. I don't use this cable anymore, I use much thicker cable that I bought from Richer sounds. Although my present cable was much more expensive...

Advantages: Does its job and very reasonably priced Disadvantages: Could be a little longer
...As you might know if you have read my previous review today, I have just got the best present ever for my 21st, a huge 42" HD TV and I have my computer hooked up to it with a Belkin VGA cable. This was great, until I found out that I didn't actually have a speakercable. This meant that I had a really great picture on a huge screen but no sound. As you could probably imagine I was just a little bit peeved at this so I searched all around my house and found that I didn't have a audio cable free to use on the computer (I was using a monitor with a built in audio cable so I never had any need for one before) So after a couple of hours of mad searching I decided to go out and buy one because its no fun having 1000's of songs on your computer but nothing to play them through.
I went out to the same shop I went to for my VGA cable (they must...

High-performance flat speaker cable with precision-formulated polyethylene dielectric material for high-accuracy and natural sound quality. Using advanced engineering methods and the highest-quality materials, PureAV Speaker Cables deliver the purest audio solution available. Ordinary speaker cables sacrifice performance by using lower-grade materials, including steel or low-purity copper conductors. This can result in signal loss that causes poor high-frequency reproduction, and sound that is not truly accurate. PureAV's speaker cables use polyethylene dielectrics to maintain signal strength over longer distances. Fifteen-gauge speaker cables improve power transfer and sound accuracy over higher-gauge cables. The recommended minimum gauge for smooth sound reproduction is 18-gauge; the longer the cable length and the larger the amp, the heavier the gauge required. This PureAV Flat Speaker Cable hides easily along baseboards and under carpet with its thin, flexible design.

Advantages: Cheap and it easy to use Disadvantages: A little tempremental
...After my girl friend got the back of her car smashed in to by some stupid guy she had to change cars. Luckily she got a car for free from a friend of her family, unluckily this car is about 15 years old lol. We both have MP3 players and love to listen to music when we drive but this new car only had a cassette player so we were both a bit disappointed.
On a trip to our local halfords i decided that i was sick of listening to old recordings of early 90's "music" and got her the Belkin MP3 cassette thingy in the hopes that we could finally listen to some good music.
There are some very good things about this product and some not so good things as well. The good points are its a hell of a lot cheaper than getting a new CD player for the car. It also means that you can listen to 10000's of songs that you have on your MP3 player (or if you...
