...: Connected with a Belkin PURE AV scart cable and both the picture and sound turned out great. Test 2: Connected with a Belkin PURE AV S-Video lead and a seperate optical cable to a yamaha dvx80 home cinema kit. Two words EVEN BETTER. The image was clean crisp and the sound was phenomenal. Test 3: Using a the samsung 850 dvd player and connected with a Belkin PURE AV HDMI TO HDMI lead and optical cable to my home cinema. Well what can i say the dvd upscales to a HD resolution making the picture quality outstanding. Last thing was the HD Test. ...As you might know if you have read my previous review today, I have just got the best present ever for my 21st, a huge 42" HD TV and I have my computer hooked up to it with a Belkin VGA cable. This was great, until I found out that I didn't actually have a speaker cable. This meant that I had a really great picture on a huge screen but no sound. As you could probably imagine I was just a little bit peeved at this so I searched all around my house and found that I didn't have a audio cable free to use on the computer (I was using a monitor with a built in audio cable so I never had any need for one before) So after a couple of hours of mad searching I decided to go out and buy one because its no fun having 1000's of songs on your computer but nothing to play them through. Advantages: Allows you to listen to your mp3 player in your car
Disadvantages: Very Poor Quality Of Sound!

...worked fine in my friend's car. I have a Y-Reg Volkswagen Polo, which has a side-load cassette mechanism... so don't buy this if you have a Volkswagen! I used to have a Sony cassette adapter, which worked perfectly, but sadly it broke, giving the reason why I bought this one. The durability of the Belkin one looks even worse. It is very delicate, any slight touch to the wire or the portable device causes bad sound quality. If you want my advice... if you have a modern head unit in your car, it will probably have aux inputs at the back. So buy an aux to 3.5mm jack cable, and connect it to your head unit. This surely would produce better sound quality. Anyway, the Belkin case holder which fits my iPod to my dashboard that came with the cassette adapter is great. Advantages: It's just great
Disadvantages: more leads than if you had a scart

...These are similar to the connector i got with my playstation 2, but these are of a higher quality plus it can take svhs and can be switched to input or output. Whenever i've used Belkin products i've never had a problem. This connector is great because if you've got a video camera or another product that has three phono out puts or svhs output it allows you to plug them straight into a tv or vcr that only has a scart input. This particular connector is the only one to my knowledge that has the svhs input. I've seen and used others which have only the three phono inputs. However these tend to be just silver quality whereas this is gold (gives you a better connection which also results in a better picture quality - but any connector is only as good as the equipment your plugging into), also the others tend to be just locked to Input...
