Manufacturer's product description
"Oh come on, you can make it" you say, while the taut monitor cable stretches, as you try to plug it into your computer. Suddenly, your new monitor flies off the desk and into pieces. You should have used a Belkin Pro Series Monitor Extension Cable, and saved your monitor and yourself. It extends the length of an existing Super VGA monitor cable with high-density DB15 connectors and features 24K gold plated corrosion-proof connectors for maximum conductivity. PRODUCT FEATURES: 24K gold plated corrosion-proof connectors for maximum conductivity; Tactilite molded strain relief provides a 360-degree turning radius for true protection against damage to the conductors; Flextec cable jacket is very durable and extremely flexible for use in tight areas; Tactilite overmold is a supple polymer designed to increase flexibility while maintaining durability; 24K gold plated copper contacts provide maximum conductivity with no data loss; Fastest data transfer for maximum performance; Oversized ergonomic thumbscrews make installation a breeze; Ground indents provide excellent conductivity and retention with mating conductors; PVC premold encapsulates individual conductors to ensure electrical isolation and relieve stress; Aluminum undermold shield helps to meet FCC requirements on EMI/RFI interference; Low capacitance impedance matched 28 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors are individually insulated in polypropylene to minimize cross talk, ensuring high-speed, error-free transmission; NOTE: Will only work on monitors smaller than 17 inches.
Advantages: Size, Price, Range Disadvantages: Initial Connectivity problems
...This is a very, very good piece of kit IF you can get it to work!
It has an in-built 'auto-connect' facility which seldom works and with the 3 networks I have had to install them on, it needed to be hard wired to a PC and connected that way (rather than connecting to the network as Belkin advise). For the price, you cant really grumble, especially if the alternative is installing messy CAT5 cable, or if that is not even an option.
It has managed to extend my wireless range (from a Belkin G+ Router) by about 70 meters, with 3 large buildings in . If you can navigate your way around SSID and Security setting issues, it is a useful, and stable bit of hardware!...

Advantages: Very versatile, handy, and easy to use Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than some other "cheaper" hubs
...The Belkin USB BusStation is an extremely easy way to expand your USB ports / serial / com / ps2 / Ethernet ports. The basic package comes as a 4 bay stackable system, with one base 4 port USB hub, and 3 other 1 port USB hubs. All are removable and can be exhanged for other Belkin hub products. This means total diversity. You could, for example, have 4 x 4 port USB hubs (a 16 port USB hub in total).
The BusStation has it's own power supply, providing a true 500 mA per port current, with an overload protection system on each port.
Currently, Belkin are giving a £5 rebate back if you send off the barcode on the bottom (or a £10 rebate if you send off the barcodes from a BusStation and one other Belkin hub product).

Advantages: compact, good front-panel display, wall-mountable Disadvantages: temperamental web interface, lots of virtual knobs, bells and whistles
...casing that has wall-mount holes, and claims to push super-fast wireless networking to a radius of 425m from the unit. And it comes with a Manufacturers Lifetime Warranty (sic).
Here's how I managed to get it going to accommodate my need to work from a room at the very opposite end of the house from where the ADSL connection was installed...
What you get for your money
-----------------------------------------
The silver-topped Belkin box looks attractive, with HIGH performance being the most obvious feature on the front. One side-panel gives you three easy steps to get you started - 1. Connect; 2. Configure; 3. Set Up. The other side-panel shows the technical specs, and the back panel explains clearly what's in the box, what it does and the way the unit communicates to you in blue (or amber if something's amiss!) icons what's happening...
