Belkin is well known for providing great electronic components for many appliances. Their high standards are foreseen by offering huge amounts of replacement covers showing their reliability, but most of all assurance.
The 7-Port hub was bought at a mere £25. I desperately needed the product as I only had two USB sockets in the tower whilst having four components that required a USB connection. I love its sleek design making it a nice attraction for the desktop. Whilst still very small and extremely light, it is unbelievable of how it can operate so many transfers in such a small box. The lengths of the wire are long enough to reach the PC tower but I have to admit that the AC adopter wire is exceedingly longer than many other PC components. It comes with a 5 year guarantee just to assure that you are in safe hands in case of any malfunctions. I could not favour an internal hub because I find it was a bit risky, especially for a beginner who knows very little of a PC.
No drivers or any other software was required for the PC to recognize the USB-hub. All I did was connect the AC adopter and the USB wire into the port. The AC adopter was required because of the sheer amount of data that is to be transferred through only one port through the PC.
Upon turning on the PC, the lights on the hub began flashing to indicate the peripheral is operating and waiting to function once the PC has fully booted up. I tried it using many operating systems including Windows 98, Me and Xp and received excellent results.
Having used it for nearly 9 months, I have completely no problems as of yet and will definitely consider buying many more required products from Belkin. To show how great the hub is, I used the scanner, webcam, joystick and external DSL connector at the same time through the hub connection and found that this did not have any effect during the transferring of data.
Really recommended for those who have too many USB components but not enough ports on the PC tower.

Well, it is best for the community to know personal opinions of the products as they may also favour the same. I have noticed that for all my reviews, you have been giving negative selections. Even though my reviews have been helpful or very helpful, you have became a major headache and still criticied it in the most stupidest way. By the looks of your reviews, you have been gettin one not very helpful and one somewat halepful. If you are jealous of my reviews then please express yourself or I shall commit myself to report you to a Ciao administrator. The choice is yours.
