Advantages: Good Quality, Easy to use Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...The Belkin4portUSBhub is the ideal way to add additional usbports to your computer. It plugs into 1 usb slot on your machine, and gives you 4 new ports. With it's own power supply, it can provide proper 500 mA per port power, and each port comes with it's own overload setting. As USB becomes more and more popular, this is an easy expansion method, enabling you to chain up to 127 devices together. Although a little bit more expensive than some rivals, it not only looks stylish, but can be linked together with the Busstation to give you lots of different component options. Installation was easy, as windows picks it up straight away and uses it's own drivers....

Advantages: Very versatile, handy, and easy to use Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than some other "cheaper" hubs
...The BelkinUSB BusStation is an extremely easy way to expand your USBports / serial / com / ps2 / Ethernet ports. The basic package comes as a 4 bay stackable system, with one base 4portUSBhub, and 3 other 1 portUSBhubs. All are removable and can be exhanged for other Belkinhub products. This means total diversity. You could, for example, have 4 x 4portUSBhubs (a 16 portUSBhub in total).
The BusStation has it's own power supply, providing a true 500 mA per port current, with an overload protection system on each port.
Currently, Belkin are giving a £5 rebate back if you send off the barcode on the bottom (or a £10 rebate if you send off the barcodes from a BusStation and one other Belkinhub product).

Advantages: Easy to use, can be combined with more hubs to connect 127 devices! Disadvantages: Needs another mains socket
...With the growing number of USB devices out there, it is amazing how many PCs still only come with 2USBports. Once you start adding more and more devices you soon find that plugging and unplugging is too much hassle, and besides, you want to use more than 2USB devices at once anyway.
This is where the idea of a hub comes in. This one converts one USBport into four. The downside is that it requires yet another mains power socket which you've probably used most of by now anyway! It can be used without mains power for running low power devices such as mouse, keyboard, etc, but for items such as modems, tv cards, webcams, etc it does need to be powered. When powered, it gives the standard 500mA per port.
Installation is easy, just plug it in and it works, no installation CD required.
If 4 just isn't going to be enough, Belkin also do...
