I treated myself to an iPod Touch last month - full review to come shortly, no doubt. One thing that drew me to the Touch was its looks: a beautiful, shiny stainless steel back and the large screen on the front.
However, I soon noticed that the steel case soon lost its sheen and proved great at showing off finger prints! I therefore decided I needed a case.
A quick online search showed a huge variety, ranging in price from a few pounds to fancy Italian ones at over £200. The Belkin was on Amazon at only £4.99, though had apparently been on sale at closer to £20. I thought it was worth a go as I was going to have to buy without seeing it in the flesh, and fiver seemed worth a punt.
The case is leather, and comes in black or brown [mine is brown]. It's mainly plain leather, though there is a hexagonal pattern on the bottom quarter of the front. The cover is kept shut by a Velcro fastening and the whole thing looks like a credit card wallet.
This has been around since the iPod Touch was introduced in version 1; mine is version 2 but it fits fine. There are gaps at the bottom to plug in the USB cable and for the headphone socket [this on is almost covered by part of the case, but is usable]. At the top of the case you can access the on/off switch, and you can also use the volume controls [though not when the case is shut].
In the pack there is also a screen protector. I missed this at first, and had to rescue it from the re-cycling bag!
It does the job, and at this price, seems a bargain!
Also on dooyoo.

Advantages: Protects from scratches and dents. Disadvantages: makes it look thicker.
I have had two ipods and am now onto my third being the iPod Touch.
With my Nano i found that within the first week the back was starting to scratch and by the time i was finished with it, it was a complete and utter wreck.
So i got a folio case for my new iPod Touch as i didnt want the same happening as last time and it is great. I havnt got any scratches on my iPod to date. The case is also great for if your like me very clumsy and seem to drop ... ...is dropped
Also as i put it in my jacket pocket which may have other things in, the case protects it from gettting scratched on my keys or loose change.
Its very sylish and the iPod touch fits like a dream into it and it doesnt affect the controls either.
I would say to anyone that is going or has bought and iPod touch or any iPod for that matter to buy one of these, it is defiantly worth the money. ...
