Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: None for the price
...This is just budget cableI use for connecting my mp3 player to my home hi-fi setup, I also use this cable for connecting my laptop to my hi fi. It is basically a mini-phonestereo 3.5 mm - male on the one end - plugs into your headphone socket in your laptop for instance, and on the other end has 2 x RCA - male connectors, which plug into a normal Hi-fi around the back, left and right channel. This is a standard connection on both ends, nothing special, but works well everytime.
The cable is 5m long, made from the usual black plastic, with rubberised ends to stop the cable from snapping and degrading on the pressure points, the cableI have takes a lot of abuse on the ends and has been reliable for a long time.
Sound quality is pretty good, plenty good enough for most audio poeple, but not going to be good enough for when you have...

Great sound Review ofBelkin ComponentsAudiocableby
Rubeenio
Advantages: Does its job and very reasonably priced Disadvantages: Could be a little longer
...As you might know if you have read my previous review today, I have just got the best present ever for my 21st, a huge 42" HD TV and I have my computer hooked up to it with a Belkin VGA cable. This was great, until I found out that I didn't actually have a speaker cable. This meant that I had a really great picture on a huge screen but no sound. As you could probably imagine I was just a little bit peeved at this so I searched all around my house and found that I didn't have a audiocable free to use on the computer (I was using a monitor with a built in audiocable so I never had any need for one before) So after a couple of hours of mad searching I decided to go out and buy one because its no fun having 1000's of songs on your computer but nothing to play them through.
I went out to the same shop I went to for my VGA cable (they must...

Advantages: Allows you to listen to your mp3 player in your car Disadvantages: Very Poor Quality Of Sound!
...worked fine in my friend's car. I have a Y-Reg Volkswagen Polo, which has a side-load cassette mechanism... so don't buy this if you have a Volkswagen! I used to have a Sony cassette adapter, which worked perfectly, but sadly it broke, giving the reason why I bought this one. The durability of the Belkin one looks even worse. It is very delicate, any slight touch to the wire or the portable device causes bad sound quality.
If you want my advice... if you have a modern head unit in your car, it will probably have aux inputs at the back. So buy an aux to 3.5mm jack cable, and connect it to your head unit. This surely would produce better sound quality.
Anyway, the Belkin case holder which fits my iPod to my dashboard that came with the cassette adapter is great. Pity I just can't listen to it :(
Overall, it's a pretty useful device if your...
