to router and switch on. The setup wizard can be accessed wirelessly using the internet based installer, or for more security you can connect your computer to the router via ethernat and set it up that way, that is it.
Within 10 minutes I had my network up and running on 2 Laptops, 1 PS3, 1 iPhone and 1 Wii.
One problem I used to have with my Linksys router was that whenever I played online on the PS3 the computer's internet would cut off for about 5 mins, and vice versa. This has not happened once since I bought the N1 Vision as all the items listed above can connect at once with no problems at all.
The router also has some really nice features too, it has guest mode for extra security, several different visual indicators and has great range.
Guest Mode:
Guest mode basically lets you setup a second network on the same ...
Advantages: Extended range, capable of streaming HD video (mostly) Disadvantages: Susceptible to interference, needs matching adapters
. Previously a big issue for wireless networks, some bright spark figured out that if you could bring all the seperately bouncing signals together and 'patch' them back together you might be able to get a complete signal where previuosly you just had broken bits. Advantages: Very Quick, Stable connection Disadvantages: May be a pain to set up, slightly big.
This thing is perfect for everyday use in a laptop, i can anywhere in my space, including my garden and still get the strongest connection possible this is due to the fact that my wireless sender only sends 54m/s with this taken into consideration the range is fantastic and the speed is way higher than it really needs to be.
being a bit of a perfectionist i couldn't settle for a basic connection, encryption was nessecary and this was made harder because my Netgear sender did conflict a bit, eventually it worked well and fast.
The overall look of the card is good but if your laptop is bright pink or white don't expect it to be very good looking, overall its shell is a bit bulky for what it actually is, a circuit board and a few lights, and overall body could be made nicer and smaller
the package was cheap and will serve is purpose ...
