Belkin Parallel to SCSI Adapter Storage controller

Advantages: Reliable, easy to setup and use, small footprint.
Disadvantages: Gets very got through constant use, wireless adapter software can be annoying at times

...The Belkin ADSL Modem Wireless-G Wireless Router was the first wireless router I owned. It materialized in my home due to the sheer distance of my computer from the phone socket and running an RJ11 phone cable across the house was not a viable option. The router came with a thin but multilingual instruction leaflet which outlined the initial un-boxing and setup but it really could have been more concise. Nevertheless, initial setup was easy enough and I didn't experience any issues. I had one Ethernet connected computer but I did set up everything first with a wireless computer using the supplied Wireless G USB adapter. The adapter works very well, is good and stable but the supplied Belkin adapter software is fiddly to use and can be confusing. ...We have two of these at work which we use for Bluetooth development. Both adaptors are fully Bluetooth 2.0 compatible and support the following profiles: Object Push, File Transfer, Personal Area Network, Advanced Audio (Music Streaming), Audio Remote Control. Unlike the previous Belkin Bluetooth modules, the software supplied with these dongles works perfectly within Windows XP SP2! No hacking is required and with this dongle/software, you don\'t have to use Microsoft\'s Bluetooth stack. Software installation is very easy, insert the CD, follow the instructions and that\'s about it. After installation is complete, finding other devices, pairing and exchanging data is very easy. Advantages: Its wireless
Disadvantages: Its slow, USB becomes faulty easy, software is useless

...This adapter is ok. I have used it and it has worked however it could be quicker and the software that comes with it is dreadful. It really does overcomplicate things. I also have to say that i think my adapters USB became faulty. For some reason it kept disconnecting and reconnecting like I dont know what. However for what it is it is very good value. Personally I would go for the netgear 108mbps as you will find the speed and reliability a lot quicker and better. I have had no problems with this and the software is very easy to use and set up. Belkin customer support are very helpful thought....but should I really of had to ring them??? Its up to you to decide I suppose.... Read review
