...to a modem, one via a USB (Universal Serial Bus cable that supports data transfers) and one via an Ethernet Cable (Bus cable supporting data transfers). However with the introduction of a new PC, my machine was moved to a different room, hence the requirement of a longer, Networking cable that could support the data transfer requirements and provide flawless data transmission.

Advantages: Plug and play as it should be, cool design Disadvantages: None
...At last a computer product that does what it says it does and works the way it is supposed to!
I was sceptical to say the least about USB (universal serial bus) ports when they first started to appear on computer systems. Windows promised the era of ‘plug and play’ – the computer recognises the peripheral without major hardware configuration or software programming on the part of the end user. The built in ADSL modem makes the router expensive. That and because it features the new 802.11g connection standard makes its retail price at £100.
A wireless 54g router on its own without the built in modem can be purchased online for about £50.
Setting up the router is easy. The web based setup interface includes a wizard so you just have to enter the required information (obtainable from your ISP) and everything is set up within a few minutes or so.
The only criticism about the Belkin...
