...with battery backup and a further 3 that are just surge protected for non critical components such as printers and what not, i have a hard drive, computer and a monitor connected to my battery backup and it gives me about 10 minutes of power to save and shut down. There are dsl ports on the unit to protect my modem from telephone power surges and everything is covered by the belkin 3 year warranty. Best of all the 3 year warranty covers the unit and up to £50,000 worth of cover for my equipment should it be damaged by a malfunction on the unit, this £50,000 is for replacement equipment and data recovery if nessecary.

Advantages: It's one of best game controllers I've found Disadvantages: Not for people who hop from one game to another
...Although there have been previous versions of this Belkin pad, it only has one competitor that I'm aware of: the Saitek Pro-Gamer Command Unit.
I bought the Belkin product first, and loved it. Lured by the fancy lights, and my good experience with Saitek in the past, I bought the Saitek product to replace this, and I only half regret doing so.

I've got very large hands, but the unit is adjustable and it's quite comfortable. The underside of the pad is a lurid orange plastic that does a passable job at keeping the unit in place. If you're upgrading from using a keyboard, you'll notice a big...

Advantages: Protects your PC from power surges and your data from brief interruptions Disadvantages: Rather heavy and bulky
...to power down your PC having saved all those vital files or, if you want to be really clever, the kind people at Belkin even provide you with software that will power the PC down for you - handy if you are likely to be away from the PC at the time.
It handles those brief interruptions without any worries - you might notice your lights go off and then come back on at those times - but your PC will just carry on working happily as if nothing had happened. It comes in three sizes with battery capacity loads from 350va to 650va (depending on the size and power needs of your equipment) which should give you between 7 and 12 minutes of power - ample time to switch the PC off in an orderly fashion if you have completely lost power. Even the biggest one costs less than £50 and I found mine (the smallest one) on offer at less than £30.
Is it value...

Carrying over 1000 tunes in my bag and at the gym I found it a bit of a waste to be lugging cassettes around especially if I had recently downloaded new tunes. I want to listen to them in my car now! This product allows me the choice of all my music on more
