Advantages: Quick and easy to set up Disadvantages: Video may get interference
...I've had this KVM switch for a number of years now, since my previous one only had two ports. I found this one fairly cheap somewhere. You're supplied with all the VGA and PS2 cables for each of the 4 connections. You can then plug these cables into your computers. The button on the top allows for quick switching.
But as well as using the button for switching between computers, you are also able to use keyboard shortcuts. These are pretty common in KVM switches, and belkin manage to do it the same way as everyone else. Great for people that are already used to using a KVM switch. The KVM switch has a useful beep, which can be helpful to understand when a command was received by the switch.
The switch also has a port for plugging in power. This helps improve the quality of the picture as there is more power behind it. Most of the time...

Advantages: Very versatile, handy, and easy to use Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than some other "cheaper" hubs
...The Belkin USB BusStation is an extremely easy way to expand your USB ports / serial / com / ps2 / Ethernet ports. The basic package comes as a 4 bay stackable system, with one base 4port USB hub, and 3 other 1 port USB hubs. All are removable and can be exhanged for other Belkin hub products. This means total diversity. You could, for example, have 4 x 4port USB hubs (a 16 port USB hub in total).
The BusStation has it's own power supply, providing a true 500 mA per port current, with an overload protection system on each port.
Currently, Belkin are giving a £5 rebate back if you send off the barcode on the bottom (or a £10 rebate if you send off the barcodes from a BusStation and one other Belkin hub product).

Advantages: Fast, Easy Setup Disadvantages: Technology beginning to become outdated
..., the device is as simple as it gets to setup - you require next to no prior experience.
The unit sells for around £40 in most high street stores, which is very competitive for such a device and I have found that when used with a Belkin Network Card (although others work well), the device matches the quality that you'd expect from a high-end Wireless Access Point.
Even If you've got a wired network already, buying this unit would let you see the many benefits of switching to a wireless network.
I'm very happy with my Access Point, and am yet to have any problems with it! It's been working 24/7 for around 4 months now!
