Manufacturer's product description

Why ExpressCard? ExpressCard, the new standard destined to replace CardBus, effectively quadruples the amount of available computing bandwidth. This results in faster music downloads, smoother streaming video, and lightning-fast access to mass-storage devices. The Belkin SATA II ExpressCard offers the perfect solution for users who want to add a Serial ATA II port to their notebook computers. The Card is designed to take advantage of the additional bandwidth and features provided by the new ExpressCard I/O interconnection standard. Now you can download multiple large video files at the same time - without worrying that your computer will freeze, crash, or slow down to a trickle. The ExpressCard future-proofs your notebook computer with technology so advanced that it exceeds the processing-speed capability of many devices currently on the market. Installing the ExpressCard now will give you device-upgrade expansion room for many years to come.

Belkin Will Read All Your Cards
Review of Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 15-in-1 Media Reader & Writer Card reader by Surj1

Advantages: 15 in 1 Card Reader & Writer, Small & Compact, Fast USB 2.0 & Very Easy To Use
Disadvantages: None

...The Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 15-in-1 Media Reader and Writer lets you simply drag and drop images, music and basically any files or folders to your computer from your PDA or handheld, MP3 player, digital camera, or other device which takes any of the 15 types of storage cards. This makes it very simple and easy to transfer media from one place to another, this is the reason I bought this device. You can edit and store your files at transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps which is 40 times faster than USB 1.1 media readers. This Media Reader & Writer lets you transfer files from one media card to another and transfer files from all four media cards simultaneously. It features four dedicated slots for all popular types of media which are: 1- XD Picture Card 2- CompactFlash I 3- CompactFlash II 4- SmartMedia 5- Secure Digital 6- Mini Secure... Read review

Belkin USB BusStation
Review of Belkin USB Busstation 7-Port - hub - 7 ports by sbenbow

Advantages: Very versatile, handy, and easy to use
Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than some other "cheaper" hubs

...The Belkin USB BusStation is an extremely easy way to expand your USB ports / serial / com / ps2 / Ethernet ports. The basic package comes as a 4 bay stackable system, with one base 4 port USB hub, and 3 other 1 port USB hubs. All are removable and can be exhanged for other Belkin hub products. This means total diversity. You could, for example, have 4 x 4 port USB hubs (a 16 port USB hub in total). The BusStation has it's own power supply, providing a true 500 mA per port current, with an overload protection system on each port. Currently, Belkin are giving a £5 rebate back if you send off the barcode on the bottom (or a £10 rebate if you send off the barcodes from a BusStation and one other Belkin hub product). Wonderfully Wicked Wi-Fi Wizardry
Review of Belkin 54g Wireless PCMCIA card by rhys_morgan1

Advantages: Good price - easy installation - online tutorials for the uninitiated!
Disadvantages: May be slightly daunting to people less proficient in IT.

...OK - lets get down to brass tacks. I have a 1mb adsl connection (broadband) feeding my desktop and a company laptop. When I wanted to connect to my company's corporate network, I had to unplug my desktop's adsl connection and plug in my laptop, obviously rendering my desktop with no connectivity. After a few weeks of this I got very bored as I live with a friend, and when I was working from home, he wasn't able to use the internet until I had finished working. So, using my technical expertise (I work in IT) and some funding from the Boss (taxable telecommunication benefit apparently?!?) I invested in a Belkin Wireless Modem and Integrated Router (acting as an access point) and a PCMCIA Type II Wireless Laptop card. The theory behind this is that the dekstop will have a wired connection - but it will also offer a wireless network... Read review
