After months of using a set of 1.44mb floppy disks, to transfer data from from pc, to school, and back again, I descided that this just wasn't very efficient. I lost a lot of work from a floppy disk suddenly deciding to stop working.
I decided to buy a usb flash drive or memory stick, when I borrowed my teachers', to transfer a large file home. This was when I decided to buy one of these myself, and get rid of my floppy disks.
These USB sticks are very useful, they can store a lot of data(64mb) and they are fairly reliable, I have had no problems in the 2 months, that I have been using it.
The USB drives are very simple to use! Just plug them into the USB port at the front, or the back of your computer, or laptop and the computer will detect it straight away, no installation required(windows 2000+). To remove the memory stick from the computer, simply select the icon(next to pc clock) and then click 'stop' usb flask disk.
If you are running windows 98 or lower, there is also a disk to install it.
The price of these Belkin USB flash drives range from where you decided to buy them. I bought mine from Ebay, and paid just £9.99 with free postage and packaging, which was a great deal because most shops sell them for around £20. You canan password protect this product, using the installation disk.
I would definetly recommend this product if you want to transport data quickly and reliably. They also come with a three year warranty should the product fail. These [products are quite small, so be careful not to lose then(I have a few times), they come with a neck band to attatch the device to, if you want to keep it with you. I think the design of the product is very nice and the silver colour, makes it look very effective.

The belkin USB flash drive is very useful for storing information and transferring it from one computer to another.
It saves and backs-up documents, presentations, music,videos and photographs. I have found it to be very quick and easy to use, although I have only used it for text documents so far. It's basically a replacement for the old floppy disc but it's smaller, more modern and can do more. Just plug it into any USB port on your computer, ... ...and away you go!
It is available in 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512 MB versions. I have the 64mb version which is currently available at shop4usb.com for only 8.99, (damn! I paid quite a bit more at Argos).
If you're on Windows XP, 2000 or ME you can just plug in and use immediately. For Windows 98 and 98 SE, drivers are included in the neatly packaged box. There is also a USB extension cable and a neck strap.
