“Get yourself wireless!”

published 25/06/2008

Easy to install and good range

Can sometimes lose signal altogether!

After getting my laptop last year and knowing that I already had a wi-fi adaptor installed I was keen to go out and buy a wireless router so that I could enjoy being hooked up to my laptop whilst not being confined to being sat in the spare room - especially not as it was winter!! So off I went...

Wireless with 4 wired ports. Good range and speed...

Seems to be a bit unstable when playing games

I recently bought this router along with a new wireless enabled laptop (Toshiba A210-17I). I opted for this model as it also includes 4 wired ports (I play my Xbox 360 online and prefer it to be 'hard wired'. The unit is nice and light and looks smart in its silvery grey colour. It has two...

Not for me

My cable connection is at 750 kbbs, when running wireless through this gadget it is running at 9 kbbs. I will be returning this quickly and buying a new linksys, or perhaps an Apple Time Capsule.

“Good Range, Great Value”

Good range

Advanced set up screen- not for complete novice

I've had this router for some time now and I have to say, apart from the slightly advanced set up screen, the speed and range is excellent. When you first set the router up you have to go into a browser based log in screen which enables you to enter your ISP user name and password. You must also...

Not for me

I am disappointed with my Belkin unit despite countless hours on the phone to Belkin support and having the same problem of dropping out every 40 - 50secs on my 1 x Dell 410 and 2 x T61 thinkpad wireless laptops(each dropping out at the same time)... this is a router issue. I demanded a replacement by Belkin and the same issue is there. I connected to another brand wireless router with no setting changes and using the same ISP (Bigpond) and all is OK. go back to the Belkin and guess what same problem. I have scoured the web and it seems to be a very common problem with the Belkin G plus MIMO... worldwide. Ithing it is a dud product yet their support people are unaware of this issue?????
